I'm a professional, 5'10" and about average weight. Here's the thing: I think I've got a pretty keen sense of humor -- almost wicked -- but most often come across as completely buttoned down, a real straight arrow, except to people that know me. To my friends and even people I'm social with I'm honest about having partied too much in college, having a beautiful women completely turn my head, etc. So, even being a straight arrow I try not to be a hypocrite. I'm very smart and enjoy the back and forth with smart, tough, witty people -- especially women. I do love an audience, too, and in no way am I a wallflower -- that's the Leo in me. I'm actually more comfortable speaking in front of a group than, say, making cocktail party chitchat, though I'm getting better "working the room." I'm a Leo/Virgo cusp so I have some need to be the center of attention at least some of the time and will agree to plod along the rest of the time in anonymity. Dress and grooming: I wear a coat and tie 2-3 days a week to work (except in the summer) and have a well-trimmed beard. I have pretty short hair. I admit I look better dressed up (everybody does) but still go casual perhaps a bit too often. I've pretty much given up on T-shirts except wearing to the gym and Home Depot. Weekends it's jeans and polo shirts and loafers more than T-shirts. (Man, I am buttoned down!) I get to the gym about 3-4 days a week but am not a fitness freak. I'm getting there, though. (When I moved into my new house I thought I'd do a ton of gardening and even have a garage full of tools -- but hired a gardener instead.) So I'm not quite at my goal yet but am pretty firm. I don't party much locally but love to when out of town (especially Vegas!) Nothing like taking a cab instead of fumbling with the car keys and worrying about a DUI. I'm a light/social drinker most of the time but enjoy cutting loose at least once or twice a year. I really love women -- all kinds of women: young, older, shapely, flat, a little extra padding, maybe even a little more extra padding. I really love sex and nothing turns me on more than having the woman suggest new things. My preferred position is on the bottom...though I'm willing to try a lot of new things. My Ideal Person I'm looking to someone to help tap a part of me that's gone neglected for a long time -- my fantasy life. My life is anything but boring (maybe too hectic), but like eveything worthwhile those rewards come at a price. I'm now 45 and feeling like I've divided the "pie" that is me and forgot to save a piece for myself. I don't want to be the guy that "used to be funny," that used to love women, or that "used to be spontaneous and fun." I feel like I haven't been either in a long time. I don't have poker-playing buddies, no drinking buddies -- my life has become regimented and not entirely mine and given over to work and a ton of other responsibilities. (Sound like a mid-life crisis? It probably is.) Open up a part of me that's been tucked away...and get my blood racing and heart pounding. I've never had an affair before but I've never been 45 before, either. As I describe myself above, I'm a pretty straight arrow but am feeling like I've completely missed something in my life. (See "midlife crisis," above.) I've been amazed just how the overpowering sense that time is running out hits and takes over -- as it did this past year a few months after my 45th. So I am interested in someone that wants anything from an e-mail relationship to one-on-one chat or consider discreet one-on-one sex. I'm not looking for a soul mate.

Physically, I would prefer a reasonably attractive non-smoker: anything from reed thin to pleasingly, deliciously plump. Someone around my age (35 to early 50's) is preferable to much younger or much older. I do some traveling throughout the country, but mostly in Las Vegas and California. Maybe we could connect!
