I'm a professional woman, generally happy with where I am, happy with my job, happy with my friends. I love to travel, whether finding a previously undiscovered monument just blocks from my house or bringing out the passport. I love to eat and I love to cook; unfortunately I don't really have a talent for the latter. My food is generally edible and I can follow a recipe, but I'm not the one to say "hmmmm... instead of lime juice, how about if I instead boil down some apricot jam and..." I regret that, but I still haven't stopped trying! Politically I'm generally fiscally conservative but socially liberal, except when I'm not. Which is, of course, the only sensible way to be. :P Yes, I'm on an adult site, but that's actually a bit of a fluke, since I didn't come here for the sex. Why I did come here is a longer story. In any case, I'm not here for a quick hookup. I have met a goodly number of people from this site over the years, some of whom are true friends, so I do meet people, but usually in the context of either a munch or a M&G setting. NOT privately within hours, days, weeks or (usually) even months of first chatting. If you're bored tonight, sorry! I won't help you with that. Besides, how appealing is someone who goes around complaining about how bored he is? Just saying. And please, oh please, in the name of all that is good and right, do NOT ask me "Soooo, what's your fantasy, fantasy?" There's good healthy masochism, and then there's hearing that question for the nth time! It's nothing I will describe to someone I just met, much less in front of a roomful of people!

My Ideal Person Competence, trustworthiness and humor are the most attractive things in any person - and absolutely non-negotiable in friends and lovers. As is the proverbial touch of class.

I generally get along better with liberal-leaning people, mainly because too many of the conservative types seem to not think for themselves. Or at least not think well. (For instance, compare spelling on the Beck rally signs with that on the Coulbert/Stewart rally signs. Enough said.)

Tying into at least competence and touch of class, I am horribly, terribly, insanely prejudiced against grown people who use "r" "u" and "2" as words. I've been told that's unreasonable. To that I say Pfffft. It's a pretty good barometer of functional intelligence as well as laziness.
