AdultFriendFinder: So how long have you been a member and what are your goals on the site?
4joy82: I've been a member for about 4 months. My initial goal was to explore my bi-curiosity, but that has expanded to also exploring other relationships, namely friendships.
AdultFriendFinder: Have you had much success finding what you're looking for?
4joy82: I have found that many of the women who are looking for the same thing as me tend to be a little nervous but have difficulty relaying that. I have made many friends though and met some ladies that are becoming closer. I'm in no rush, I'm looking more for quality than quantity.
AdultFriendFinder: Have you found other fun things on the site that you weren't initially looking for or hadn't thought of?
4joy82: I guess the camming has become a big part of my fun on AdultFriendFinder. I never even thought about doing anything like that before, but now I'm enjoying the connections I make through camming.
AdultFriendFinder: When you are on, your web cam is very popular. How many people usually watch you at a time? What's the largest number of people who have watched you?
4joy82: A lot of it depends on the day of the week and the time of day. On average I see between 600 and 1000. The largest I've seen is about 1600. That was exciting but I got a lot of pages and it gets difficult to read them all.
AdultFriendFinder: So lots of people contact you while you're camming -- what kinds of things do they say?
4joy82: Yes, I get a lot of pages. Most people are just complimentary. There are those who ask for me to do something special and I try to oblige, within limits. Of course you get the overtly aggressive and even nasty people, but the blocking system works pretty good so I just use it to weed out the rude ones. Some people want to go one on one but when I broadcast I do it more for the thrill and entertainment value. I'd rather try to make 1000 smile than just satisfy 1. There's time for cam2cam at other times, and most people understand if I tell them.
AdultFriendFinder: Did the letters start piling up in your inbox once you started camming?
4joy82: I always get a lot of letters when I cam. Mostly from guys and most have read my profile and understand I'm not looking for men, so they just say something nice. I find the women aren't so quick to compliment or to contact me to get together, but out of all the friends I have made most have contacted me after camming.
AdultFriendFinder: You're a singer and you enjoy musicals, opera and fashion -- do you use theatricality or fashion to make your cam entertaining?
4joy82: Every once in awhile I try to do something a little more theatrical. I actually did do a little fashion show once. My boyfriend works with me in my music and modeling and together we try to make things a little more special. Lately I've spent less time with the theatrics and more time trying to answer some pages. It's made things a little more personal and in some ways more exciting.
AdultFriendFinder: What's the wildest thing you'd like to try doing on your web cam?
4joy82: I've used baby oil and chocolate syrup and that was fun. I have been thinking about body paints and how that may look. I don't know if that's considered wild but, there's only so much you can do by yourself and I have my own guidelines as to what I'll do.
AdultFriendFinder: You're profile says you're just finding out that you love to show off. Did that from web camming?
4joy82: Yes. I am or was a very shy person a few months ago. It actually had a negative effect on my modeling and singing. But camming has really helped me to open up. And by setting my own limits on what I'll do on cam I've been able to really take control over my body and sexuality.
AdultFriendFinder: Do you find yourself getting more elaborate or daring in your cam production?
4joy82: I love to take it almost there and then stop. I get a lot of positive feed back about not giving it all away. It also makes a one-on-one cam experience more fun when I get to show one person something that I haven't shown thousands of others.
AdultFriendFinder: What is it you like about camming?
4joy82: My biggest thrill is the tease. There's that old saying in show business about always leaving them wanting more. I have a lot of people who come back over and over. I take that as one of the greatest compliments.
AdultFriendFinder: You changed your profile to say you weren't looking for guys. Were guys writing to ask you out?
4joy82: Yeah. I always had in my profile that I was already in a relationship and just looking to explore with other women. But I had some very aggressive guys writing anyway and some were even saying my boyfriend didn't have to know. I had to rewrite my profile and be a little more assertive.
AdultFriendFinder: Now that you've added that text, is it working? What's the ratio of men to women in your email box?
4joy82: I love men. I have the best one in the world by my side. When I rewrote my profile I still got a lot of email from men. But 99% of them now only write to give a compliment and to wish me luck. And a lot like to remind my boyfriend of how lucky he is. The ratio is about 70% men, 20% couples and 10% women.
AdultFriendFinder: Since you are monogamous and happy with your boyfriend, are you finding guys on the site who are perfectly content to keep up an email friendship without any prospects for hooking up?
4joy82: Some of my best friends on AdultFriendFinder are men. That's been one of the pleasant surprises about the site. There's always those guys who think they're going to seduce me into something or convince me to leave my boyfriend, but I'm with him because of who he is and what others may have to offer has nothing to do with it.
AdultFriendFinder: You are primarily looking for young women like yourself -- are you finding many?
4joy82: There's a lot of beautiful young women on the site that have contacted me or I've contacted. Like I said before though, amongst the bi-curious I believe there is a certain level of shyness. It just takes building a bit of a relationship, which is exactly what I'm hoping for.
AdultFriendFinder: Wow, so women on AdultFriendFinder are shy with other women? Even when they can see from your cam that you are a "real" person? What do you think that's all about?
4joy82: I think they are not so shy about the meeting but the actual experience with another woman. There can be some pretty aggressive people out there and I think it makes others who are experiencing things for the first time a little more timid.
AdultFriendFinder: That makes sense. Do you have a feeling that there are a lot of women looking for women on the site?
4joy82: I believe so. Again there seem to be two groups though, the aggressive and the passive. Since I'm looking for a more passive and gentle progression in a relationship, I have to be more patient in contacting people, and being contacted.
AdultFriendFinder: If you could give advice to other women looking for women, what would it be?
4joy82: Don't be afraid to be honest. I met one girl who was really nervous about the whole process. Instead of telling me she just stopped talking to me. If she would have kept talking she would have seen that I'm nervous too. The nervousness is one of the exciting things of exploration.
AdultFriendFinder: What's the funniest thing someone has emailed you or said to you while camming?
4joy82: Funniest or rudest? I've heard some things that some may think are funny but I would never repeat them. I think one of the funnier things I've heard was from this guy who lives on the other side of the world. Since I'm only looking for women he said he would get a sex change and move to Canada just to be with me.
