In the NOW

I went a little out of my mind for pride. I got sucked into the people... it was so loving and free.

I cannot explain this feeling of liberation especially to those who live in smaller towns, remote places or cities who do not welcome diversity to the extent that SF dose.

This freedom of being able to stroll down the street with a same sex parter kissing and holding hands is so welcoming and liberating for everyone. Straight, bi, tranny, drag queens... what ever floats your boat is totally embraced.

I went to SFO to pick up my partner who has been traveling in the Pacific Northwest for the past two weeks. He met this young lesbian woman on the plane who was seated next to him. Amazing woman who decided that she wanted to go to SF for pride. She has never been to SF and just decided at the last minute that's what she wanted to do. Luckily, she sat next to my guy who held her hand and said; "Let's party in the Castro". So when I picked him up she was there with him. She was beautiful, young and full of energy.

We parked the car and strolled with thousands down Market street and danced to the music. Everyone was so happy and there was a feeling that we all belonged together, no more fragmentation from the human race... one love. We met up with a group of people in a cafe` drinking bubbly who decided that we were too much fun to lose. So we all took a cab around 8pm back to this beautiful home in Diamond heights that over looked the city.

It was so funky, free and sexy... we all smoked, danced and a little M D M A was floating around.

This young lesbian woman my boyfriend met was so into me. I don't know what they were talking about on the plane, maybe my sexuality. I'm a bit of a sex addict. I'm not into women being totally straight. But when the love drug took over, we ended up kissing and touching in front of many people and this touching and kissing turned into us having sex in front of several people. It was so natural and beautiful that I went with the flow. It was the frist time for me to be so public with my sexuality.

Live in the NOW.

Be in the moment and don't let the monkey mind prevent you from being you. Too much mental chatter can prevent you from experiencing all that life has to offer.

Always be mindful and aware of everything and everyone around you. Otherwise, you may end up sleeping your life away regretting the opportunities that were presented to you.

Now go out and play.
