okokokokokokok..I'm back

Wow...I didn't think I would miss the "blog scene" as much as I do/did! Sorry for the hiatus. After my last post, I asked my boss for more assignments out of town...lol..and he granted my wish! I haven't been home for more then three days in a row in over two months. Sometimes, the best thing is a change of scenery. Anyway...I'm back for a while now (lucky you lol) so i thought I'd fill you in on some of the highlights of my trips:

#1 Oklahoma City - this town absolutely fascinates me! It could be the ultimate clashing of country and punk scenes. One club...and within 25 feet of eachother...a down-home cowboy in tight jeans and black cowboy hat and a skinny blue-mohawk wearing punk kid with a bigger chain coming out of his ear than the one attached to his wallet. Amazing....lol..I danced with both of them (have to be diplomatic you know)

#2 San Diego - I love California. Except for the smog, the cost of EVERYTHING, traffic, and the fact that you can't smoke anywhere...it's pretty cool. I had only seen the ocean a couple times before, so I spent most of my free time at the beach. I think I need to go there with someone next time though...too big of a place for a small-town girl like me to be wandering around all alone. I mean, I know Tae-Bo and everything...lol..but I don't think that would stop too many attackers.

#3 Minneapolis - It was OK. I saw my very first midget bartender though! I felt kind of bad for him, because I think they were treating him more like a side-show than an actual employee. He was a great guy though...and made a hell of a martini.

#4 Reno - I wanted to go to Vegas SOOOOOOOO bad, but had to settle for "The Biggest Little City in the World." The whole concept of 24 hour cities still fascinates me. Like people going to the dentist and working out at 2 or 3 am...boggles my mind. Reno 911 is one of my favorite shows, so I halfway kept an eye out for the troops...lol. I know they probably don't film it there...but it would have been cool if they did...and I got to be in one of the shows as an innocent bystander or something!

#5 Jersey City - This town made me feel very very old. I'm only 28 mind you....but there were SO many 19-21 year olds running around in bikinis....I felt like the old person who still goes to the high school parties that everyone laughs at behind their back. It was OK though...I pretty much hibernated at night most of the time...but again, got to enjoy the beach.

#6 Houston - I didn't get to explore all that much down there, actually had to work most of the time...but I definitely want to go back. Actually I want to do to Mexico and find an old, dusty bar, and drink Tequila and learn cuss words in Spanish.

I have more...but stupid work is calling yet again. I've missed you all very much, and I can't wait to read what I've been missing in your blogs. Sorry about the meltdown posts before I left...it's just a sore spot. BUT...I promise..I'll make up for lost time

Wow, I thought I had been spending a lot of time traveling for work. Seeing all those places must have been great. If it was me I'd be glad to be home for awhile. By the way, I don't think you missed much in Vegas and if you liked San Diego see the rest of California, it's all great.

Damn girl...and I bet you were in Texas the same time as me and did not even bother to visit! That qualifies for a spanking.
