NG's Lady..........a thank you

i don't think i have blogged about my seizure disorder and it's really not all that interesting but last night i had a seizure coming on and i was alone in the house.

i left an IM for NightGuy's lady to call me if she could - sometimes i go too far out and i lose consciousness and then i need to be in hospital until the meds are balanced again.

i went to lie down, it is easier for me to control my breathing this way - i have jacksonian focal point seizures and they present like a heart attack - deep pressure in my chest, left side weakness and a facial lag -it isn't that i can't breathe - it just feels like i can't breathe

the phone rang - Lady was there - i told her i couldn't talk so she chattered on, stopping every few minutes to make sure i was alert and awake.

she called me back later - to send me off to sleep - i was sleeping so she called and called until she woke me up -

god bless this woman for her kindness and caring

i get so afraid when i have these things - and the sound of her voice just made it okay, yanno?

It's a wonderful thing to have that person you can call (and rely on to be there) in a time of need.

What a kind thing for her to do.

But dont you need medical attention when having these attacks?

Ive not heard of this type of seisure but i am going to look it up now as it sounds a stressful way for you to live.

Im glad such a kind lady was there to sure NG himself would help too if needed.

Take care xx

Props to Lady! And props to you for blogging about your seizure disorder. My oldest daughter, the one with disabilities has a severe seizure disorder herself so I know how scary it must be for you.

Strangely enough, I know exactly what a focal point seizure is as well. My daughter has complex partial seizures. -B

Shesh...that must be scary for you to go through that!...Thank goodness she was there for you to help you through!...Have you ever thought of getting one of those specially trained dogs who can sense seizures? I have heard of and seen them but would not know how to begin looking into it...your doctor maybe? Just a thought...I know they are trained for this sort of thing. Blessings to you and her for being there.

I have epilepsy, so I know how scary any seizure can be. I have simple partial seizures, so I'm usually conscious during the convulsions. You're lucky to have such a good friend to help you through them because they can really freak you out. My son has grand mal seizures since age 3 but leads a completely normal life. He's been seizure free for 3 years now. It's very brave of you to discuss this, I've never brought it up here because of old-fashioned ideas.
Let me know how you're doing!

This is an issue that needs to be more info put out on..*hint hint* *hugs* glad everything is okay...and that voice of lady's lends so much comfort to me as well but thank goodness not yet in that capacity. Sweetie ...
I'm so glad you are ok, and that NGs Lady was there for you, she's an amazing person.
She was so kind when I spoke to her and my cat got lost from me.... it was hours before Miss Mae came wondering home, and I called to let her know Miss Mae was home, and she was just about to call me back ... it's a treasure to have her friendship

PS, go look in your mailbox

Sitting here with tears of joy in my eyes to know that you are ok. I didn't do anything but help a loving friend and I will do it any time I can. Sometime people don't realize that friends are like beautiful flowers they are only there as long as you take care of them.

Hugs and love

I have lived with a partner who went through these and they can be terrifying. I am glad you made it through and that a really good and loving friend was there for you.

Hoping you don't experience another for a long, long time, if at all.

Take care.

It's absolutley wonderful that we have friends,, that actually care,, and when i say care,, i don't mean,, just putting it down in simple font, care or concern that comes from a phone call, comes from the feeling that one gets from just hearing that voice on the phone...

Hugsss to you,, you are blessed to have such a friend as M'lady...

Now won't last forever, so use it wisely~c
