STeve Irwin Crocodile Hunter Dead Age 44

This morning Steve Irwin was filming off Port Douglas, Queensland, Australia and was stabbed through the chest by what is believed to be a stingray whilst filming a documentary. It is believed his American born wife, Terri, is on Tasmania`s Cradle Mountain and yet to be told of her husband`s death.

Very loud man, but a huge icon for Australia, sympathies to his family, wife and children.

He was a loudmouth, but a loveable one. He was one crazy guy! My sympathies to his family.

Wow, I am shocked! He did so many crazy things, but he was doing what he loved. Very sad, indeed. Great loss, what a promoter for the animals.

What?! That is hard to believe, this is the first I have awful. I really loved him and his energy and attitude. Very tragic. I'll have to read the news I guess to find out more...

Happened just after 11am this morning, it`s monday the 4th here. His friends tried to revive him to no avail. Very shocking and not something you expect despite how many dangerous situations he`s been in.

Yes, big campaigner for animals, there`s currently ads for animal hospitals he`s promoting for our native animals.

Its all over the net, slashdot , , forums , blogs , you name it , its all over the place.

I personaly didnt like him on media . He always seemed to be going too the way to approach danger without a hand .

It might offend some people , but Im not suprised he got killed by an animal attack . Thing that I find odd , he was filming a doco and no one was around to give medical help.

I would post some news sites with this story but AdultFriendFinder is anal and blocks emails and web sites

It would not have mattered if they did have medical help, he would have needed everything set up for a heart bypass, the poison in such a large stingray is rather powerful, obviously. He knew what he was doing in any situation he was raised doing this sort of thing, it ran in his blood. The man died what he loved, you`d kind of expect it really. I actually had no idea he was 44, I did think he was younger.

Sometimes the things he would say and do would make you cringe with embarrassment. But his heart was always in the right place, and he has left a huge image in people's minds the world over. I had relatives visit from the UK years ago, and they weren't going home until they had been to Australia Zoo. His contribution to Australian and Queensland tourism was massive, and his loss will be keenly felt. He put his money where his mouth was, not just with his own business, but with wildlife rescue and also funding training for veterinary students at uni.
The worlds' going to be a slightly sadder place for his passing, but we should spare a thought for his family.
