Beauticians Are Sadistic!!!

For some of you who know my blogs past, you know I am a reformed smoker (going on 4 months now after decades WOOHOO!!!) Well, seems the toxins my body built up from this nasty habit have decided to come out in my face. Coverable by makeup but unfortunately has to be treated by the so-called beautician.

I had a meeting with her yesterday and she had a look at my jaw and suggested a regime and some treatment I agreed to. This morning she sat me through a brief questionaire and asked what was my pain, I don`t regularly abuse and test that...I should have known then what I was about to submit to.

Unlike a lot of ladies, I do not regularly visit these establishments, in fact, besides a gift of an exfoliating massage over 3 years ago, I had never been to one and never intended to. I abuse myself lifting weights over and over instead

Well, as she was about to start this microdermabrasion, I was informed there were two heads of choice, crystal tip or diamond...CRIKEY! Don`t they use them for drills???

If you really, really hate someone, recommend this treatment! They scrub your skin with a sandpaper like sucker over and over, throw acid on you (AHA), rubbing alcohol gets in there too and my special treat was a mask of what smelt like 100 year old rotted seaweed someone had urinated on slapped on my face for 15 minutes and warm water pissed on top. Somebody help me, because after torturing my body with smoking for all those years, the mongrel has got me back with making me pay for another 6 gruelling sessions to fix this thing

In the meantime I have adopted this wonderful thick, brown paper bag with a smiley face drawn on it as my new head I look that unappealing. Somehow I thought beauty salons were supposed to make you beautiful....what kind of marketing tool was I walking out of there looking like I was dragged by the face on gravel????

Ya, Wetta!!! Me too, hon, been smoking for too many years, have quit and quit again, used the patch, gum, whatever it took, and then a period of deep stress and I rewarded myself for getting thru it by starting to smoke again! Will I ever learn???

Haven't done the beautician thing, either, but I'm with you on that's a marketing ploy, and yah, I'm in marketing...LOL

I also agree with the pic of mav...dang, I just wanna bed-wrassle his cute peekin over the pillow self!

LOL, now tell me smoking is NOT an addiction!!!??? Anyway I managed to do it cold turkey, I just stopped, no slips, the cravings were easy to deal with I was so determined. Hubby was amazed, he says to everyone it`s like she never smoked. The thing is, my doctor said my chance of cancer was increased age 36, so there was no way in the world he would prescribe me contraceptives anymore if I didn`t stop. Then we had a personal tragedy relating to lung cancer from smoking and lost a very dear head of our family to it. What more could you need to toss them in?

Now I never understood these people who can pick them up and put them back down socially, why on earth would you want to do that!?

I hope everyone else finds their own things to help you stop, I can`t use the patches, I have an allergy to the adhesive and the other things like gum just seemed stupid to me. Good on you if you have and best wishes if you`re trying.
