Stepping Into The Void...

This will be my last post for about ten days. I'm just about to go off on an adventure thousands of miles away from here. Of course I'll take my paraglider, but I'll also take my zest for life and the desire to live and share it to the full.

The very first moment I stepped out from a hill to find myself supported by nothing more than the air itself - to feel my boots leave the ground - was life-changing, not just because I fell in love with free-flying on the very first glide, but in its wider metaphor of life. To take the chance of launching off hill or cliff, not knowing the exact particulars of the flight - sometimes not knowing how challenging the landing might be, becomes addictive and reaches into the rest of life.

So here I am, really excited, highly desirous, a little apprehensive. Going somewhere I've never been, totally trusting in the very specialness of a friendship online.

Who knows what a tale will unfold as I step out into the void......

Thank you sassybelle for wishing me well. Now back, where do I begin?

Dear foxy, I did. I wish I had just a little more time over there, but however long I was there it would have been the same.

Saddle sweetie, I did enjoy. And I'm back, safe, sound and satisfied it was a smart thing to do.

Thanks aascrompn. Wonderful friendship on the ground and big country to paraglide over. My fears of flying into a saguaro cactus were totally unfounded.

Dear marina. Now back with memories to smile with. Thanks for your wishes along the way.

Dearest Tabs ...... I have a sentiment to think that your well-wishing helped. Went wonderfully and a real adventure too. Now back to London's grey skies....... but blue skied memories.

Every landing, rocky, real and metaphorical, was a happy one. Thanks for wishing it so.
