Dis-Membered: A Blogville Ghost Story

The story so far. Little did Warm, a small-time blogger, realise that the tear in the fabric of cyberspace was heading his way, until it was too late.

I never knew that ghosts existed until I became one. One moment I was a silver member who had just received a lovely e-mail from a dear, dear friend and fellow blogger that I really wanted to reply to. One moment I was a citizen of Blogville with all sorts of plans to write some fresh posts, and respond to some of the excellent posts that are around.

The next was I couldn’t get to my home page, even though my handle and password were confirmed by e-mail, so I couldn’t reply to my e-mails, and I was totally isolated on AdultFriendFinder.

I felt totally disempowered. All of a sudden Warm was out in the cold.

All I could do was browse as an outsider. I could even visit my own blog, read the comments that had been posted, and not be able to reply. I could visit other blogs, but couldn’t interact with them. I had found myself as a ghost. I could be reading a blog and would not be recorded, could not comment. Nobody would know I was there. It was simply too unpleasant and painful to continue.

Here I was in blog-purgatory that I was drifting as this dismembered, disembodied entity, wanting to communicate but unable to do. I felt paralysed, able to be aware and unable to express that awareness.

Then, after a couple of days in this half-lit limbo the nice technical people at AdultFriendFinder repaired the tear in the fabric and I was back in the the land of the living.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Isn't life great?

Now where can I begin?

dearest angel, I missed you too, drifting through your blog unseen, seeing your posts and not being able to reach out through the forbidding ether. I sought cybermediums in my desperation to reach through the void, but all in vain.

warm was never meant to be out in the cold.

ghosts are never warm, are they?

but, hey, I'm back and warming up all the time.

thank you for your concern and lovely, kind thoughts

warm xxxx

She breaths a sigh of relief.... Whew he's back...
And I thought you had fallen into some black hole gone and lost forever. I am so glad that the fabric has been mended and you are back from the nether-world. You were missed.
