Yikes!

I was planning on doing all sorts of stuff when I got home from work today: smoke-damaged laundry, wall patching, cleaning, etc. I was gonna be a good boy and do stuff around here. Then I was going to retire and (if lucky) chat with a friend while I polished off dinner.

Instead I've been (and still am, but needed a break) filling out divorce paperwork, mostly relating to the splitting of our property and our debts, listing my finances, bills, etc. Which involves a lot of searching through bills and schiznit for the right numbers. Yipee. Cuz that's a fun way to spend hours. (Especially with my recent filing system of a pile for everything and everything in one pile.)

And could they make some of these forms any less explanitory? Sheesh! Like providing a little statement of what the heck they mean for each section or heaven forbid an example sample or instructions would kill them? I mean you get instructions for doing taxes that are waaaaaaay longer than the actual forms. But do you get any instructions for this? No!

Ah well. I'm muddling through. It's just annoying. I mean the ex and I have drawn our lines, reached our agreements, etc. We don't need this. We've settled it ourselves, without fights, without dueling lawyers, etc. All we freaking want is for a judge to say, "Yep, you can go your seperate ways now." We didn't have to fill out shiznit to get married! So why is a no-fault joint-filed divorce so ____ ___ ____________ ____ ________ complicated?!?! It ain't right! Freaking hell! I might never get married again just to avoid divorce paperwork!

I need a drink!

And here I went and drank the last of my wine last night! It's not my day! I've got such a headache.

poor baby - keep at it - it will be all worth it when it is over - and your friend will understand - that's what friends do - they are there even when you don't have time for them and they understand and it's all OK - good luck with D-day !
