I'm A Jogging Machine!

Holy cow!

So this morning I force myself to get up and go for a jog. I say force because between the accident and then the flu (on top of being generally lazy because sleeping in an extra hour is oh so nice) I haven't been jogging in a little over a week. So this morning I get up and go.

And go!

And go!

Not counting the warmup and cooldown walk, I damn near jogged the whole thing! Even up the hills! Well, okay, so I did take a couple of moments to walk and catch my breath. But all in all it's been the best jog I've done yet. Damn I'm good. This morning I almost looked athletic!

Oooooh. Aaaaaah.

I figure the difference probably wasn't from the week off. Nor from being more fit after a week off. More than likely it was that it was actually cool out this morning. Even the humidity had (slightly) dropped according to my clock. (Though it's still well above the 'normal' zone, and far far away from 'dry'.) So maybe, like any virtual machine, I just needed a proper runtime environment.

I'm not very keen on jogging myself, but unfortunately I can't much think of another way to get a good cardio workout. If only they made a pill for that...

Oh - there are great ways to get a cardio workout that are a lot more fun - but it takes two people - I wonder where you could find a willing partner

Hmm ... I wonder.

Of course I'd like to commit to a regular daily workout.
