Cream is a cute little fluffball. This is her in her "I want out! I want out! Pick me up!" pose. The hammies do that when they want your attention.

Cream's fur isn't quite as light or marked as her mother, but she has more of her mother's genetics than Coffee does, which makes her a lot lighter color than normal and gives her a couple of white dots. Unfortunately that also gives her the problems with one eye. She hadn't shown any indications of that for a long time and I'd hoped she hadn't inherited that, but it turns out she did.

That's why we can't breed mommy Latte. No one wants their hammies to go blind, no matter how pretty they are.

I just wish there was something that could actually be done for their eyes. It was bad enough watching Latte go blind in one eye, but now Cream is starting to show the same symptoms. And there's nothing that can be done.

Of course I don't think it actually hurts them. They just get grumpier because it's scary being half blind.

But the funny thing is, these were the ex's. She was meant to be their mommy. And now she's left them with me. Not that I mind. I love them. I just wish I didn't have allergies so that I could do more with them. But it rather well indicates why I never trusted my ex to be the mother of my children.
