I'm Back!!!

Sorry to have drifted away from the blogging world for a bit.

Life is funny. Just when you think yo know what to expect, it takes you on a different journey. For a person like me that needs to be in control, that is not always the easiest of things.

I have found myself in love and quite strangely happy to be there. I am in a unique relationship situation and cannot see the writing on the wall, but not sure that I would read it even if I could. Is there more to be said for the ride than the result? If we could make accurate predictions of ultimately hurtful situations, would we ever dare to try them and thus miss out on an experience that molds us and makes us who we are?

Within this time that I was gone, I had to deal with a medical issue that although it turned out to be nothing serious, could have been detrimental to my life. It had me thinking, as well as my upcoming birthday, that life really is short. In this perspective I was not willing to let go of something that in my heart I knew could be something very special. Therefore, I tossed my die hard dating rules to the wind to go explore a new potential.

I may return to the fast and furious dating life at some time, but I cannot deny myself emotional happiness just to prove a point that I don't NEED anyone. I have come to the conclusion that I don't NEED him, I WANT him.

We are currently separated by life circumstances, but have a 5 day romantic getaway at the end of the month. I will keep you all posted about it, as well as other interesting tidbits of my life in the meantime.

P.S. Go and enjoy life in whatever way it pleases you. It will not stop and wait for you to catch up!!!

Congrats! Long distance relationships are a pain, but beats not having a relationship.

I think it's great that people take a break from this. I too need a break.

great post and most def agree with what you have discovered. To fear to try things will leave one with the "what if" situation. And I really cant stand to have those.

As one of my favorite sayings goes, "Victory rewards the bold"

Congrats on your situation and that your health issues were not your own end.
