Finally

Since last November Ive been waiting for a new computer, one that is brand new, with all the latest stuff. Never mind that I dont understand most of what goes on inside the grey and white case and it may be quite sometime before I can take full advantage of the many functions that hide behind icons or are buried in one of the hundreds of folders. Now that Im in possession of this $1500 prize I am humbled by the power it represents and yet intimidated by its unique ability to confuse the shit out of me.
In the past, using other peoples throw away equipment I came to discover that it is close to impossible to rid the former owners data from the memory of the machine. Without warning strange messages would pop into view directing me to something else or informing me of an error occurring and requiring me to guess how to fix it. Clicking the ? mark or following the trouble shooting guide only succeeded in making the problem worse. Im wondering why, if this machine is so quick to spot a problem why doesnt it just go ahead and repair itself? And why for gods sake does it steer me in a complete different direction to repair a problem that doesnt exist until I involve myself in following bogus instructions? Many times I found that the alleged problem notice was issued in error. Like the creators of this wonderful machine programed its doomsday from the start. Going online and surfing the web exposed my ignorance even more as the creators allowed "loopholes" in their security so that any boy genius could construct some sort of virus and pass it on to infect computers all over the planet. Many viruses later the "Big Dogs" implement their pig on-hold remedies to the frustrated masses there-by increasing their profits ten-fold while creating mountains of useless but toxic silicone chips. No wonder Bill Gates is the richest man in the world! Arguably the situation has improved as "protection" is being sold in yearly installments that will prevent mass crashes. This technique of protection is nothing more than a legalized version of what the mobsters were punished for back in the old days. But oh well the price of progress overlooks such things and I myself have joined in on the fun. At last!
