No more live oaks... A real spring!

Well, folks. I'm experiencing my first real spring.

I recall a conversation with a former girl-friend who had grown up in Pennsylvania. It was fall, and we were sitting outside the campus library, soaking in the first fall chill.

When I pointed out the live oaks that are prolific throughout the south, and which stay green year round, she complained that there was no fall in Texas. That comes close to truth... Fall and spring in Texas is just a change in shade of green, if anything.

Spring in Denver is so Beautiful, though! I have a flowering bush in my backyard with lovely white flowers, a pink and white flowering tree, and a creepy-crawly that is just now budding...

Spring is waking up through the whole city: everywhere I drive I am greeted by fresh buds or waking flowers, bright colors and fresh greens.

Wow. So this is what I have been missing.

Don't remind me I had the best time of my life during spring back in Springfield, MO. There were so many pretty flowers around and it smells so good! Maybe I should visit you in CO and start some spring hanky panky
