Is Honesty Really The Best Policy?

Hello people, what's up? The strangest thing happened to me today at the DMV. I went out there to change the address on my photo I.D and to ask them what other suspensions that I had that were still holding my license up.

I sat down with my number and the form that I had to fill out. I finished the form and was called up there, pretty quick too I might add. I tolf the lady at the counter why I was there and she entered my T number. T numbers are what the State of Va. uses now on the front of your license where they used to put the social security number.

When she ran my number through, it showed a perfectly blank driving history. I mean it didn't show my ever having a driver's license, none of my suspensions, tickets or any vehicle that I had ever known. I was shocked needless to say. I asked her what was holding me up from getting my license. That's when she told me that there was no record of me ever even driving at all.

I then asked her what this meant. She proceeeded to tell me that unless I had proof that I had ever driven that I would have to get a learner's permit before I could ever get a license again. I asked her could I get a learner's permit today( laughing like a motherfucker). She said yes and went to get the forms together.

I tossed this idea around in my head for like a minute or so and almost let her do it. Then this shit called honesty kicked in and I felt compelled to open my big mouth and tell her that it must be a mistake.

I told her to run my social security number. When she did this my correct record showed up. She said this was really strange and told me that I had two driving records. One clean as the driven snow and then there was mine!

She called her supervisor over and they had to make some calls to get it fixed. Apparently the T number and my social weren't linking up to the same record. Part of the problem may be due to the fact that I can legally spell my name two different ways. I mean there is a character in my name that isn't a letter and alot of computers have a hard time accepting it.

I did not create this name, actually I was born with it. Anyhow, as much as I would love to make fools of this state and fuck them every chance I get I guess I did the 'right thing'. It's hard to tell how long these ignorant bastards would have taken to catch this error, knowing Va. maybe 20 years! Or maybe tommorrow!

Check out my new I.D. pic. It's not too bad, I've taken worse ones. The last one I had looked like shit. It made me look like I had a double chin and weighed like 300lbs. which is far from being true. I do have hair now and my goatee is getting kinda long.

had something similar happen to me once-i have my first name spelled one way on my birth certificate, another on my SS card. when it was suspended a few years ago, i was on the other side of the country & thought i might get away with it, so i tried. he spelled it like it was on the birth certificate, (the ONLY legal document with it spelled that way) & came up with nothing. but he knew i had driven, so he followed it. i played stupid "oh i didn't realize you had put in THAT spelling" & got out of there quick! Barney Fife was starting to twitch!

so like i said before, now that you can drive.....
