Day 2

Well I'm starting to get headaches from no pop. But I still am drinking water, milk or juice. Can't believe I'm doing so good. My husband has Pepsi in the house and I haven't even looked at it.
Have a great day everyone.

You are probably suffering from caffiene withdrawls. If that's not what you are trying to avoid, drink iced tea sweetened with Splenda. It's an artificial sweetener with no icky aftertaste. Good Luck

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

Yeah, break the cycle of the sugar caffeine addiction and you will feel so much better. I grew up on the stuff, and now it is a "treat", on occasion. This last weekend I had probably a six pack of soda.. (only drink from cans cause it helps with portion control!).. and I had to get another fix last night - so I bought diet. At least it doesn't have the sugar kick this time.. but I craved the caffeine. I am downing water to get back to a better balance cause I feel so tired already.

have you looked at the info on metabolic syndrome? It is a precursor to diabetes, in that your body is having an inability to utilize the blood sugar, which if it continues will tax the pancreas so badly that it will become full blown diabetes if left unchecked.. diet and exercises are the only know cure. That and south beach style eating with quality carbs. This year I made a commitment to go organic whenever possible ad added supplements such as the perrocone promise suggest and I can tell you that my sugar craving have vanished - if I go back to eating refined carbs, such as with the soda or chips this holiday weekend, I start the sugar rollercoatser al over. it is NOT a will power thing, but a very specific chemical reaction that makes the soda so hard to deal with as diabetes runs in my family. To make matters worse, I work at a computer, sometimes 20 hours a day and CAN NOT get up to get around much. it has taken a toll on my health, so I am doing all of this not to lose weight, but that has been in amazing side benefit as I eat a LOT more then I used to.. now. Plus, have more energy... so.. good luck, hope some of those ideas help on your search for fitness & health! (((hugs)))

I know all about diebtetes. It runs in my family as well. I get checked 2 a year.
I work at Subway Sandwich Store so I have healhty food all around.
I had a salad last night at work. I haven't had my nightly cookie for the last 2 nights and I haven't eaten when I get home from work which at around 11:30p. I'm making baby steps.
I'm gonna go to the Dr. next week and have my blood sugar checked again. He said he would help me with my weightloss so I think I'm moving in the right direction.
Thanks for the information.
