*big ole sigh*

So my ex MIL called me this evening. They are moving in June to Arizona. I knew they were going to move, but I didn't think it would be for a while. I had at least hoped to find myself a babysitter for at least one or two nights a month so I could go out. If they leave then I'm totally screwed I won't be going out unless ex has my son and that's usually once every every two months.

On the bright side the ex just called me and will be having the lil guy til Sunday night.

I'm hoping with my son returning to daycare for the summer that the owners there know of someone who babysits or who know of another couple or single parent that would like to take turns watching the kids.

The hardest part of this single parent thing is lack of a social life. Well not so much lack of a social life. I do go out with friends but usually I take my son with me. I should say lack of "big people" time.

suggestion: check the local schools to see if they hold Babysitters courses, and see if you can find a sitter that way. Both of my kids took a course like that.

good luck

Bummer... but I'm sure another opportunity will present itself.

Let me drive. I like the view

Girl, I know what you mean. I'm lucky right now because I have my mom nearby and my in-laws (for another 3 weeks - they're snowbirds), but they don't seem to understand that babysitting until 10 or 11pm, doesn't help me much! Oh well, I guess beggers can't choosers.

FYI I know that there is a daycare in Tampa that offers P.M. care. I can't remember exactly where it is, but I know one of my gf's mentioned it to me. If I find the name, I'll give it to you.

Good luck!
