Unless you actually garden...you probably won't be aware of these pretty flowers.

If you plant them instead of buying them in a pack from the nursery, the rhysome I believe it's called looked like a spider - dried up and stiff. Following the directions you plant them in the earth in late fall and in the spring you should see ranunculas pop up.

They range in colors from white to a deep red. Lots of fun...they have those concentric layers of petals that I so love.

One bad thing...they seem to attract slugs and snails...

LOL...rather like being a woman and attracting the wrong man.

Now, now...that's all in the past. I never meet slugs anymore.

I don't meet them anymore, either. I used to see them in the early morning slinking away on the sidewalk...too much dichondra....I don't have that type of grass anymore!!!!

I like the orange, pink and especially the red ranuncula. Such a strong, power color....like us, wouldn't you say??

Goldmember, it's true about the planting process.

Akadafa...slugs are not fun or clean.

Yes, Mags we are colorfully intense.
