Get Over Yourself

A prose writer gets tired of writing prose, and wants to be a poet. So he begins every line with a capital letter, and keeps on writing prose.
Samuel McChord Crothers

LOL! I simply had to write about this quote and spend some time laughing at myself.

I thought there might be others who would see the humor as well.

Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash.
Leonard Cohen

And this is rather funny as well, because of the drama that I can throw around with huge sighs and sad eyes. My life is burning down around me and really I should be thankful for the opportunity to experience the poetry of life ‒ ashes of happiness.

But I ain’t whinin’.

I'm sure I know just what you mean
I just can't think to tell it
But I can tell you anyhow
I'd rather think than
Have to spell it all out for all of those who do not quite understand just exactly what it is that I am trying to get across to them.

I'm sorry, hun.
Remember the Phoenix and let the ashes fall where they may.
You will walk out of them reborn and even more beautiful.

Ahhhhhhhhh...but Mags, you're like an interviewer who knows just how to get others to think.

Not an easy accomplishment when so many people assiduously avoid the temptation of thinking.

It's just human. We all have the jungle inside of us. We all have wants and needs and desires, strange as they may seem. If you stop to think about it, we're all pretty creative, cooking up all these fantasies. it's like a kind of poetry. From Northern Exposure

In the jungle there is always a cycle, a constant renewal. We walk through those cylces not knowing outcomes but hopefully with an abitliy to endure the pian and not allowing it to devolve to suffering.

I had no idea that every time i fired up the hibachi, I was poetrisizing...

.

Been a while since they last let me out into polite society. Resurfacing, catching a breath, & catching up.

And while I got my Broad-Brimmed Pimping Hat on, could I cajole all of y'all to Comment on, Alone In A Cloud? It's probably the best thing that I've written!

Lately...

Mr. Sharkey...

Being stronger as a woman is something I strive to attain. The funny thing is, I have always learned the best from the most painful things in my life.

Why must it be so?

Tillerbabe,

Why thank you evah so much darlin...

We must laugh at ourselves first. I rather share the joke first, that to have someone make me the joke.

Mr. Priapus...

Yes the hibachi is a great metaphor for the prose and poetry of life...

I'm sure you see it quite clearly.
