Diamond Knight

"You are the sun
I am the moon
You are the words
I am the tune

Come play me..."

Confession...I was weaned on Neil Diamond. His soulful and poetic pairings of words seeped into my little soul. I think I carried his romantic image with me without knowing, in the back of my mind.

The words so simple at times and yet so many ways to take their meaning. The music would pluck emotion or crash over me.

How very odd to think that as young as that I would have been attracted to passion, and yet I very much was.

I was reminded of this the other day when I spent an afternoon listening to him again. It was bittersweet to realize that I could so sweetly be wound up in his world again, so very easily. Realizing the words with more understanding now; but isnt't that the way it is? You go back to something you loved when you were younger and you think to yourself, 'I could love this all over again.'

So that's my confession of the day..."I love Neil Diamond."

Would I run away with him? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...? No, I don't think so. But maybe?

Think of your favorite singer who inspired you with their music, their passion. Remember who you are...what makes you tick.

Let a smile play gently on your lips, close your eyes and croon gently along with the words.

Perhaps you might even find someone who shares your same passion?

The ideal would to lie in the arms of a lover and sing together...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, but that's the stuff dreams are made of.

Geeze...are we made for each other, or what? I love Neil Diamond and have seen him in concert. I am an Elvis freak for the old "Can't Help Falling in Love with You". But, more than that I love an erotic jazz tune to do that in the arms of a lover thing.

Well... He isn't one of my favorites but, I could have been worse....You could have picked Barry Manilow

Ok... my confession is.. I must be a Muslim terrorist sympathizer, I love and admire and always will Yusaf Islam (Cat Stevens)

All the times that I've tried
Keeping all the things I knew inside
It's hard, but it's harder to ignore it
If they were right, I'd agree,
But it's them they know not me
Now there's a way and I know that I have to go away.
I know.... I have to go.

Never got to see him live and now he doesn't perform anymore. he believes he has a greater purpose in life than recording songs... and to think the NSA denied him entry into the US as a terrorist threat.... get real..
