HE LEFT BEHIND HIS CAT.....

When my dad died I inherited not only the duty of takin' care of mom,but his cat!
He called her Tiffany and she's a little treasure! She was beside him on the couch when he had his stroke and there to see him carried out!
She waited and watched out the window for him,but he never came back.
She's always been skittish and only one man's friend, but she never really accepted that he's not comin' back.
She was there when mom fell and saw her carried away, that's the day this little cat changed!
She waited and watched for months on end, till one day we brought mom home!
She became a little furry friend that won.t leave my mom's side, unless she's in bed! She spends her day sleepin' on mom's chest, as they lay together in the recliner. Waitin' for me to get home. She's takin' care mom while I'm away! She's still skittish but has become the
best little companion my mom's ever had! She's my mom's little treasure!Thanx dad for leavin' the cat!

Awww Spunky what a wonderful story and what a wonderful companion for your Mum. It's also great to know that, whilst she can't physically do much to help look after your Mum whilst you're at work, she's lifting her spirits and acting like a four pawed guardian angel.

Pets are so wonderful, just like I said in your last animal post. The nursing homes around here have pet therapy a lot where people bring in animals for the older people to love, even for a few hours. Tiffany and your mom are lucky to have each other.

Animals, like children, know good people when they meet them. You are all obviously good people. Definitely in my book!

That is such a great story! Cats really are the best. The know when things aren't right. I've had cats lay with me when I get very sick. They sense these things. I had a high fever once. I was also in pain. I was on the bathroom floor moaning in pain and my cat pushed the door open and came to me. Meowing a concerned meow and then he went to the room to get my granmother who got me some aspirin.
