FUCK YOUR DRESS CODES!!!!

This is just from my days when I was a Floatin' manager of a conveniance store chain......
I won't reprint the company dress code it was just your usual borin' drivel!
Basically the girls were to always wear bras and appropriate attire....WRONG not in my stores!
They company pushed the suggestive sales thing to the point we were goin' insane!Point of sales Line of sight merchandising and other such crap!
Had to continue to raise those consumer purchase sales figs.! All about numbers no room for humanity!
The minute I took over a store those dress codes were thrown out the door!My people could wear what they wanted and I encouraged some off the extremes! A girl in a tube top behind the counter can sell anything to a man!And keepin' the A/C low helped too!
the guys could wear the muscle shirts and they could sell to the ladies!
As for point of sales there was nothing like those displays being continuelly cleaned by a man in a muscle shirt or a lady in tight shorts! this drew attention not only to them but to the display being cleaned!People will do anything to get a little more time to ogle!
And a gal on a ladder cleanin' the tops of the coolers well that just helped sell soda and beer
Though it may seem sexist there's nothing like an attractive and hotly dressed crew!
People would become much more frequent and regulars at my stores if only to ogle they always neede an excuse so they stopped and bought more!
It's no wonder that in the stores I ran My numbers were always the best that store ever had!

Ahhh. I try to avoid jobs with a dress code. My first job was for the UK's then top supermarket. A free uniform but of the poorest quality materials. Good shoes that never wore out though. I was a car park trolley collector. We had shared team overcoats to wear. they were never washed and stank to high hell. Never again

Don't ever give up searching for the fun in life.

hmmm. dress code. i remember days on the roof where i would start off in sweat pants over shorts, & a sweat shirt over a t shirt over a sports bra. by 10 i was stripped layer by layer down to the bra & cutoff jean shorts. (this was in florida) & i was very subtle about it, but i loved to take off something when one of the guys was watching, but they didn't know i knew it.

so if you can picture it, i was a size 7, 36C, very tan, very toned, in short cutoffs, a (basically) bikini top, work boots, tool pouch, bandanna, with wisps of sun bleached auburn hair escaping it....

ahhhh. those were the days....

We are allowed to wear casual clothes and jeans everyday just no tshirts which sucks because I have lots of those.

Fortunately I work in a place where I can wear nice jeans and a nice top. I LOVE IT! I've worked where I had to wear "business attire" and I've worked where I had to wear a uniform. I prefer the casual places!

We have a dress code at my job, which is casual professional. On Fridays, we can pay a dollar to wear jeans, which a lot of us too. I like wearing casual clothes, because I'm more comfortable, but I know in my job, I can't just wear sweats and a t-shirt.

Hey Loveme! That's true in many cases a dress code should be in place to keep it proffesional...and I wouldn't want to see anyone dressed to suggestively in your job! Scarey thought the outcome of that! Thanx for sharin' and ya know you especially are always welcome..and a real pleasure here!

For certain types of business I don't see the point in having a dress code. I happen to have 8 tattoos and if I wear certain types of blouses, 4-6 of them are visible. Call centers where no one sees you...as long as you're doing your job why should you care if I wear jeans or a sleeveless top or a miniskirt or sweats?

A call center I worked at had a dress code and the center was given as a reward for a job well done a week of casual attire. The quality numbers shot up by 20 percent and the code was changed to casual thereafter. We could pretty much wear anything within the realms of public decency.

Just goes to show. A comfortable employee is a happy employee and a happy employee = satisfied customers!

Hello CuteN! People do respond better with some incentive! As you well Know! I tried to let my crews know that in order to sell they had to be comfortable! that's why I scraped the dress code and it did help in many ways!!!! Thanx you for sharin' and know that it's always a pleasure ta see ya here!Always welcome ya hear?
