Ok..I just got back from running some errands, needed gas and smokes, needed some I go..did those 3 things without incident..get out on Seven Springs heading to my place and I get a Psycho who just goes ahead of me without signaling,a mini van with lots of kids in it..I honk my horn as I get closer and closer to hitting her..she finally moves up and gets some speed..then I am turning onto my block and AGAIN someone runs a red light only this time,if they make contact I am gonna be the one hit and hard..what the fuck..OK I am not a seasoned driver..but shit..RED MEANS STOP!!..And if you are gonna cut ahead of me from the right and I am literally next to you,hit the gas get some distance between us and for gods sakes USE YOUR DIRECTIONALS!!!..Jeepers..for cripesakes.

The red light blower realized it very quickly and stopped and I made my turn without incident..the fucking minivan who HAD to get ahead of me ended up going back to the right lane at the precise second I was heading into the left hand turning anyway..go yea..I,softnlush almost got into not 1 but 2 accidents in a 3 minute period..and in broad fucking daylight with NO fucking traffic..PEOPLE PLEASE ALREADY!!!!!

If it wern't for stupid people - lawyers and insurance compaines would have little to do and couldn't screw all the smart people. Who else would go out of or get little business from idiots?

Living in the midwest I always felt a "soccer mom" with a van/SUV full of kids was the biggest threat to my drive-time safety. They always seemed preoccupied, perhaps stressed, and often pissed off. They had little or no clue as to what was going on outside the confines of their vehicle...including traffic.
After moving to Florida I began to feel threatened by blue-hairs (as my mom calls the very elderly). Having my car demolished by an 80 lb. woman who was old enough to be God's older sister reaffirmed this way of thinking for me.
Most recently I have noticed more middle-aged drivers invading my road space. I see them weaving in and out of traffic at high speeds, honking madly and flipping the bird to other drivers, and donning a look of "I swear ta Gawd my head is gonna just friggin blow off" on their faces.
People are so impatient. If everyone took driving seriously we'd all be a lot better off. I guess it's too much to ask other drivers to pay attention, exhibit some common courtesy, and use their plain common sense.
Now driving is reduced to "look out for number one".

red light running is one of the biggest issues in florida at the moment. Currently a ticket for doing it runs about 180 bucks. Its the biggest cause of accidents, half of them are because someone was also on a cell phone and not paying attention.

perhaps we need a lot more cameras on intersections and bump that fine up to $300
