We Will Never Forget...

Today is the five year anniversary of the 9-11 attacks, a day that changed all our lives and our very way of life.
I just want to take a minute to remember those 3000 innocent people that lost their lives just doing what they do (to quote the great Alan Jackson). These people who just went to work, or on a plane ride with no idea that day would be any different than any other.
I also want to honor those who voluntarily and without hesitation gave their lives that day so that others may live. The first responders (police officers, fire fighters, and emts) ran to the Towers, pentagon, and Pennsylvania field to do anything they could to help those who remained inside. Many did not return, but for their effort, additional victims were saved that would not have survived otherwise. They are true Heroes in every since of the word. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their sacrifice
And Finally I would also like to thank and honor our servicemen (and by servicemen I mean both male and female) of all branches of the armed forces. They picked up the torch form the 9-11 first responders, and have carried it with honor. Many have fallen since that day, and I will always remember your sacrifices and the honor in which you served/continue to serve. Without you, there would be no America. So on behalf of us all, I would like to say Thank you for all you have done! I will back you until the day I die.
(off topic somewhat...I used words such as hero and honor quite a few times. I know these words are used alittle too often these days, but as a former soldier and current first responder, they mean a great deal to me - and I meant every bit of every word I said in this post. I hope yall agree with me, at least in sentiment)

Hello mate

You hit the nail on the head. The memories that stick in my mind of that day are of the people who selflessly serve the common good. Who help others first. Heroes and heroines are everywhere. Shame most people think of them just doing thier job.

You know when you've been Billdoed
If you all stopped having a go at me I wouldn't be so fucking paranoid
