I really hate the Government sometimes.

When, oh when will it be legal to be gay in the U.S.? I've gotten so sick of reading this and that about "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" and other "loopholes" the government is trying to pass of as equality. I don't care if you're gay or not. can you do your job? Are you responsible enough to manage your own life? Great! You're a person, too!
Oops, wait. You're gay? Oh well then, we have all these rules and regulations that apply to you, but not straight people. Mainly 'cause you're the odd man out. Oh you didn't know that? Well, let me introduce you to a little thing we here in America like to call inequality. It works like this:

1. We find out you're different from everyone else.
2. We decide to arbitrarily put rules into place restricting your movements, daily livelihood, and other freedoms we allow to other people.
3. You throw a tantrum, and we don't listen. Rather we call you a bunch of queer-loving, tree-hugging, hairy-legged hippie liberals who would let faggots and any other choice term into this great God-fearin' country. Yeehaw!

Any questions? Good! Even if you think these rules aren't really how it is, go ask your local military-type. They'll spout some rhetoric about not being able to say if they were gay *or* straight. Fine. But you don't see straight guys being beaten for liking women.
