Legally Here!!

No, seriously! We're officially residents of South Carolina now! Took us all of an hour to take care of the license and title for the car and both of our drivers licenses! I really couldn't believe that! If you're in a state that takes forever and a day to get anything done, you'll understand my shock. It also didn't cost us a fortune. Our title should arrive in less than two weeks and we actually walked out of the DMV with plates.

A 10-year drivers license for $25.00? Are you joking? Two year plates - have to pay the property taxes on the car every year, but that was minor compared to what we were expecting. So it really is possible to license and title a vehicle for about $100.00? You betcha!

Unbelievable. And we're paying about .20 cents less (on average) per gallon of gas than we were paying in the midwest? Why the hell didn't we do this sooner?

So let me get this straight. I now live in a state that doesn't charge me an arm, a leg, and the contract for my firstborn to do anything? And the area we're in is booming? Not to mention the fact that it doesn't snow or get to be 17 degrees below zero in the winter?

Ok, now I know that I've really gone off the deep end... I must be imagining things... Somebody better pinch me quick!!!!

It's a nice state but it can get very humid this time of year. Good luck.

I make frequent business trips to the Clemson area. It seems ideal to me.

Not bad place if you can get through the "Gnat" season. Off-shore fishing is great.-0
