From Tex

Leave a comment and I will:

1. Respond with something random that I know or think I know about you.

2. I will tell you what song or movie or celebrity you remind me of.

3. If your male I will tell you the most likely place that you and I will ever make out.

4. I will say something that only makes sense to you and me. Or at least make some shit up.

5. I will tell you my first/clearest memory of you.

6. I will tell you what your name would be if you were the opposite gender.

7. I will ask you something that I have always wondered about you.

8. In order to play here you should be willing to post this on your blog also...

Okay Tex, unfortuantley the only thing in my head right now is a disturbing TV comercial I just saw aimed at kids. I just got a glimpse of PopSicle Man, and the the first thing that popped into my head was that guy looks like a giant dick. I think I need professional help.

Anyway that's my way too random comment as I haven't read enough of your blog to leave one that makes any freaking sense.

7. If all the books in the world had to be burned, save one...which would you salvage?

I'll cheat: I would save not a book, but a set of books, Will and Ariel Durant's "The Story of Civilization," a history of the world in about 10 or twelve volumes. Bet your local library has it...! I discovered it when I was 12, and have loved it ever since -- even though the last volume came out two generations ago, even though it ended with the life and times of Napoleon Bonaparte, and even though it reflects a progressive, liberal, things-are-always-getting-better philosophy that I know to be wrong-headed.... I was living overseas, and English language books were to be prized, when they could be found. I discovered a little English language library sponsored by the US embassy. And in that library was "The Story of Civilization." It opened a great big wide world to me, in an articulate and attractive way.... And if all the other books in the world disappeared overnight, with it in hand the whole broad expanse of pre-Modern Western History could be recovered.

Oh, and if you thought I kept my clothes on, then you obviously weren't paying attention, dahlink!
