The Asshole vs. the Friendy-friend.

It sucks to do a lot of stuff on here you have to pay, but oh well. People have to make money someway. It's like my college sending me literature soliciting money now that I'm an alumni. I feel like replying with "As soon as I actually have a disposable income, I promise I will give you some."
But anyways, that's not what this post is about. I'm nowhere near the first one to notice that, as much as women around my age protest they want a nice guy to quote them poetry and treat them nicely and with the utmost respect, they always seem to be upset on Monday because the dickhead fratscum they bedded on the weekend treated them like poop in the morning. That seems to be an inescapable reality.
What I did realize just recently is how immutable your place in the consciousness of your female acquaintances becomes. Once you're the friend it's okay to confide in, okay to half-grope when you need physical comfort, okay to flirt with when you need attention, it impossible to become the scruffy, motorcycle riding rebel who quotes William Butler Yeats and doesn't give a fuck about them that they actually want. There is absolutely no chance to change your role from friend to possible fuck.
Think about it. If you're a possible fuck and you turn nice all of a sudden, then you've seen the light and you're ready to settle down, your wild oats behind you. But, if you do the reverse, if you're the pal and then decide to try and be aloof to get your lady-interest to notice you it's never "Hm, I never noticed he was hot before", it's more along the lines of "Why is he being an asshole?"
Maybe I'm not the first to notice this either. Just saying.

well sugar, women are cats, quite frankly, you can't trust 'em, the same one thats purring on your shoulder tonight will scratch your eyes out in the morning, and be mad that you didn't treat them a bit rougher and make them beg for their dinner, the whole problem with the young ones is that you have to tell them what they want then make them believe it. You can practice with me if you like Sissie
