Very Superstitiousssssssssssssss Writing On The Walll

Are you superstitious??
If so what freaks u out the most?
Stepping on cracks on pavement
The number 13
Walking under a ladder
Breaking a mirror
Opening an umbrella inside
Black cat crossing path
All of the above
Something else
Nothing

I believe in the power of the full moon. It makes people act weird and cracky.

Carpe Diem

I had to say something else. I'm not really that superstitious to be honest.

Bit if I thought hard I could probably think of something.... maybe my college teachers being something un-earthly?

I'm not superstitious at all. If something is going to happen it will. It's beyond our control.

But that is an argument for the ages.

I'm more of an ancient style superstious nut

Basically gettin' freaked out by "signs and portents" in nature or metaphots in dreams.

For example my mother and father wanted me to housesit while they went away on personal family business...and well I was sitting in my Dad's recliner drinking a cup of coffee with Mom going over the details while a fly had been fluttering around a lamp on the endtable next to my chair. All of a sudden out of nowhere the fly just croaked in midflight and dropped dead into my cup.

I wondered if it might be a sign my parents flight would go badly...

then again, there are other cultures that see something like a pest croaking in your cup as a sign of good fortune (or that your coffee is too strong! lol)

Evidently they were right. Other than my dad having gas on the plane lol...my parents were just fine.

But I still don't like that kind of stuff...freaks me out!!
hi wordsmith xxxxxx

Nothing bothers me if if at all possible I avoid doing all of them. Just that way, if it happens it happens. But I have found 'murphys laws' very accurate. Whatever can go wrong will, and The possiblity of someone watching you is directly porpotional to the stupidity of the act. Or something like that.

I dont class myself as having a superstition, but if i'd hgave to list one of those, then it would be maybe 13 unlucky for some, but actually it's been a lucky number for me for a long time now so that died out, i guess that's unlucky for the unlucky number superstition.

I'm not normally one to touch wood either for granting good luck because i mentioned something unlucky, (touch wood there i go again).

I read a book recently on superstitions and their origins and found out some funny, and quite bizarre facts, but a lot of them originate from medieval times and occultists.

Anyway nice blog again Special
