What did the Bull say to the Cricket?

"What did the bull say to the cricket?"

So many times we get wrapped up in things that are going on in our immediate area, that we forget to look at the things in life that are really important. And we also tend to react to things, when we are still in actuality, reacting to something else that has occurred in our lives.

"Stay away from #$%##, they are having a bad day!" If someone does snap at you, it might be that they are really lashing out in response to what has happened to them... perhaps just minutes before. It may have been a phone call with bad news. Or the kiddos just being kiddos to the extreme. Or it may have something to do with the morning commute. Anything can get us out of kilter. Anything can get under our skin... at the right time.

The result: a bad day.

Whenever you have those days, (and you will) just remember, the person that is now standing in front of you, probably had nothing whatsoever to do with what has you upset. They don't deserve the blast that is waiting inside you to come out. Why should they have a bad day, because of something that occurred to you, and that they had nothing to do with?

Take a couple of moments. Sort out the details. If someone should receive a piece of your wrath, make sure it's for the right reasons. Don't let it be reactionary because something else started the whole backsliding day. At the very least, forewarn the people around you that "so far, this day is really sucking!" Then take another moment to get things right around you.

What did the bull say to the cricket? Who the hell really cares?

It's just a way of changing the subject... that you can use... in case you are the one who is about to be the receiver of a blast from someone who's having a bad day! It'll throw them off guard just enough, for you to either change the subject... or escape!

From a friendly unlisted one!

Unlistedone, Thanks for the words. I've been having some bad times at work, and I've been kinda harsh with my students. When I go to work today, I'm going to take these words with me and apply them to my job!

Unlistedone, thanks for the words of wisdom. I wish I would have heard them a couple of days ago. I had an unfortunate exchange of words with my wife after she snapped at me. I knew she was having a bad day but I just snapped right back at her and we bothe ended up suffering because of it.

"What did the bull say to the cricket?"

(1) "Have a nice day!"
(2) "Have a nice day, muther #♫ç#É&!" (Please forgive an urban bull who was raised on tough streets.)
(3) "I ain't buying that story! That's a bunch of cricket-poop!"
(4) "How's the weather down there?"
(5) "I'm so jealous! If I could jump fences and rub my back legs together like you do, I'd score a lot more with hottie cows!"
(6) "...Then the farmer comes out of the barn and sees me workin' Bessie and the girls in pasture #3. He turns to his wife and says, "Now THAT'S what I call 'making milkshakes'!"
(7) "I'm more of a baseball man, myself."
(\8\) "The way you're looking at the situation just compounds the problem!"
(9) "ZIP - adeedoodah..."
(10) "AW!! Don't worry. You ain't goin' anywhere! When hurricane Ernesto comes inland, you just hang onto me, buddy!"
