Don't get scammed...we did!

Ok...we had our first encounter with a man...pretending to be a bi-woman.

That's right, you read that right!

Here's what happened...we had been chatting with this woman on and off for the past few days. We'll exclude the name so AdultFriendFinder doesn't delete this comment like they did the last one we posted with it!

Anyway, we were online...doing a webcam show...and we were horny and wanted to have some phone sex. When we asked her if she'd like to have phone sex with us, she said she was into it but kept putting us off...finally she gave us her phone number. We called the number...and boom...we knew right away it was a man. When we asked her if she was a man...silence...then click...dead air.

Some newly learned advice...be careful when you are on yahoo or any instant message service...it's easy to chat and think you know who you are talking to...but in reality...you really don't. It's easy to get lulled into a false sense of familiarity. Ask to cam, so you can see who it is you are talking to.

Our new rule...NO CAM, NO CHAT!

We just got our first lesson in honesty, integrity, and values...not everyone has them.

Don't get scammed...we certainly did!

That's a great idea. We have been burned the same way even though we now look back on it and laugh. We couldn't believe we were soooo stupid. We had been chatting with a bi female for awhile .... she seemed perfect and she definitely had an interest in joining us in a threesome .... we passed on our phone number to her .... she called one evening to set up a meeting for a coffee ... she still sounded perfect .... we finally met .... what a fucking joke .... we couldn't believe it .... turns out to be a guy that had a very female voice .... we didn't even pick up on it over the phone .... what idiots we were..... what amazed us more was the guy actually thought we would still play with him .... guess he figured we didn't realize he was a male once we met ..... lol

There's that old saying: 'On the Internet, no one knows you're a dog.' You only find out the truth at the last moment. Of course, if I was being really bitchy I'd go to that person's profile and check the pictures. If it shows a woman then it breaks AdultFriendFinder's rules ...

From someone that's been camming for 11 years now, you can never trust who is on the other end of a conversation without due proof. It simply amazes me how many fake and dishonest people there are in the world. I'm glad you learned from the experience!

Oh man. That totally sucks. I'm sorry to hear this happened to you... though, with it only being a couple days, it doesn't sound like it was a real deep relationship. I'm surprised he gave you his real phone number if he was going to do that, though, instead of just giving you a fake one in the same area code. so you got extremely lucky. it also sounds like he isn't THAT much of a cad. He must have wanted to be found out, to give you his real number.

It wouldn't hurt to talk to him one last time, real person to real person. Humanized enough, he may not do it to someone else. Hopefully.

Good luck, y'all.

I find this strange and anoying.

Why can't people be honest?

I tell it like it is. My profile is me, who I am and what I want. I don't say things on here that I can't back in person even when talking to people on the other side of the world.

one of the first things I learned on AdultFriendFinder was that most of the women here are really men, pretending to be women. That doesn't affect me though since I'm not interested in women but I have heard stories similar to yours from many men on here.

I'm sorry to hear you had that kind of experience. I must say I don't have a cam myself and make that very clear to others. If that is a reason for others not to want to chat with me that's ok I guess.

And about honesty, integrity and values... one of the first things I learned on this site that you do need to be VERY careful about ... well, about a lot of things.

I hope your next experiences will be much better ones, because those really DO happen.

hello my husband and i read your blog and we agree with you. my husband and i have made it a practice to talk to couples either on phone or webcam we too have gotten scamed by ppl saying yeah we can meet, take the day off that i really ended up wasting for someone who didnt show. we never really got to talk to the wife about it. so we learned a lesson.if you cant talk with both partners or webcam then we dont talk.

Lol, I love the "Lola" album cover you put up for a pic. Nice work. Well, at least it was just a phone call, you didn't take off work or waste a Fri/Sat night to meet someone who turned out to be a charlatan. Why did he feel the need to go through with the phone conversation? Did he actually think he could fool you? As for integrity, honesty and values, many people don't exhibit these traits when it comes to all things sexual. Good luck in the future though.

Hey everyone... we appreciate your comments...

We're not sure why he didn't give us a fake number or not give us a number at all. We made it very clear what we were looking for up front regarding an in person meeting. Here's the funny thing, he is coming to Georgia in June and wanted to get together with us. We're with you man4nooners1...what was he thinking? I guess he thought we would be wearing beer goggles...

And yes...the Kinks say it all...

LOLA

I met her in a club down in old soho
Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola [lp version:
Coca-cola]
C-o-l-a cola
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said lola
L-o-l-a lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Well I’m not the world’s most physical guy
But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine
Oh my lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Well I’m not dumb but I can’t understand
Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man
Oh my lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Well we drank champagne and danced all night
Under electric candlelight
She picked me up and sat me on her knee
And said dear boy won’t you come home with me
Well I’m not the world’s most passionate guy
But when I looked in her eyes well I almost fell for my lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

I pushed her away
I walked to the door
I fell to the floor
I got down on my knees
Then I looked at her and she at me

Well that’s the way that I want it to stay
And I always want it to be that way for my lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Girls will be boys and boys will be girls
It’s a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Well I left home just a week before
And I’d never ever kissed a woman before
But lola smiled and took me by the hand
And said dear boy I’m gonna make you a man

Well I’m not the world’s most masculine man
But I know what I am and I’m glad I’m a man
And so is lola
Lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola
Lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola

Again...thanks everyone!

I too have been scammed, and like someone above I have been 'camming' for... errrr.... crap its been about 11 years as well wow.... Back then in the days before IM programs and where you usually had 'rooms' full of people camming (the program is/was called cuseeme) - we always joked that all people 'lurking' (those without cams) were men.

Anyways I have decided to post in my blog about this so you'll have to check it again to read about how I was 'scammed'

*sighs* sorry to hear about your bad experience with that guy. Like manupforall said earlier, we are who we are... online as well as off... whether we think we will ever even remotely have a chance to meet the person we're talking to. Too bad more are not like that...
