The thrill of victory...agony of defeat

Good morning my friends I awoke unrested from last night, I sit in the kitchen, french roast at hand, weather channel providing noise that indicates I'm still here another day.

It's com'n on Christmas with New years looming not far behind. For many of us singles the mere thought of not being laid for the holidays can be...unsettling. As we hustle and bustle with chore lists ten miles long, we add the daily computer attempts to find the gift that keeps
on giving this season.

My patterns of mating have always been exceptional around this time each year, something about the urgency to find a cave and settle in for a long winter.

I'm not as optomistic as I once was,and rightly so. I know that other skeptics exsist commenting on my choice to post here instead of more "respectable" dating sites. Maybe they know something I don't?

I'm becoming more particular with each meeting. There is a thickening armor of complacency each new day of the search. One lover behind me and another potential up at the plate.

Here....batta batta batta....strike're out!

This one is attractive, that one more attentive,
another who stimulates my philosophical side but nothing yet all wrapped up with a big red bow.

As I write this morning after a dissapointing Sunday I'm inclined to remove myself from the holiday shelf of sultry delights....sometimes it's just not meant to be.

Sounds a bit like the holiday doldrums Tennis.
Everyone gets them this time of year. And I'm sure the dating scene and potential (or lack thereof )can be a bit depressing (as is the non-dating/relationship scene for some also ).
In my humble opinion, just keep an open mind, and see where things fall. You never know when something good is right around the corner
Regarding posting here, or otherplaces...I think it all depends on the crowd. Your profile states who you are and what you're looking for. I'm sure you get the normal deluge of mail for women, but, yo never know when a note may be from a "keeper". And nothing says that those "respectable" sites don't have any weird or strange men on them either.
Hope this helped a little; or at least gave you a chance to smirk or smile

I'm going to be on an island this holiday season! The hope is sunshine and 80 degree weather for two weeks.

I'd really really really like to invite you to come along.

Hey it's but 6000 miles from your home. I'll be thinking of the snow bound while I'm away!

Well for about a minute anyway!

Sometimes we just find ourselves in the wrong geographic location to find that special want & need we have that is wrapped in a red bow.A trip to the sunny tropics or to the frozen Tundra of New Jersey could change all of that to experience the thrill of Victory.Remain optomistic, complacency keeps us experiencing the agony of defeat!
This Santa would be making you think that everyday is Christmas and shoot the hell out of the myth that Santa only cums once a year.Your only complaint would be (Take off those damn bells and get this fucking sleigh and those Deer out of the bedroom!LO

The holidays can be tough, no part of the year seems so fraught with expectations to be dashed.

I hope you find the happiness you seek. You seem so very deserving of it.

I loved your gardening picture too on your profile.
