Tennismaiden's Independence

I wanted to write a little blurb for all those wonderful friends in Blogland and AdultFriendFinder. Since today is Independence day I thought it only fitting for this declaration and as America broke away from the British I too must do some stretching and flexing.

I've been reading the book "Women Who Run with the Wolves" By C P Estes Phd. I was recommended to this particular lesson by someone who came into my life for a fleeting moment and though I was crazy about him, I was not his first choice. But with that crossing of paths he did pass along this literature which he claims "was written for me".

I'm just at the beginning chapters there are 475 pages in total and I have quite a bit to read. Today I'll be heading to the beach for R&R, a perfect time to whip out the thick paperback and continue learning my particular lesson.

My feeling is that everything is given to us at a special instant when we can best absorb that which we need to learn. I've had this book for months and been putting it off for sometime. I was angry for not being given the opportunity to share time with the gentleman that passed along the book, so picking it up and reading it was also not an easy task.

I am preparing myself for the next step, my intuition tells me it's to do this somewhat alone at least for the next few weeks as I am due to spend time with family in New Hampshire.

I am flattered at all the attention lately but in all practicality I'm needing friends more than a lover. Would I love to be lavished with touch and sensuality? Absolutely! But I must let go of this notion before I self destruct. I cannot keep my dignity if I'm languishing in the past. The past has no future.'s back into the "head" of Tennismaiden, doing some soul searching, breathing in summer air and picking up my Wilson to bang the crap out of a few harmless yellow balls.

Sounds like a plan.....right?

Happy 4th of July and Independence to all those who need freeing from their captors. I salute you!

Emptiness has something to do with letting go, turning loose. We must "lay down our burdens, down by the riverside". We must risk turning loose the burden of our opinions, our knowledge, our rules of how things should be. Letting go of the burden of past and future, we enter the stream that flows through the open heart and the present moment

Being present is consciousness taken for granted, easy to say...not easy to do. Will you remind me from time to time?

Hope you had a good read on the beach TM.

Our weather turned a bit bad at the picnic I attended. The typical summer thunderstorm came by with all associated thunder and lightning. But, the day was otherwise uneventful and ok.

Here it is Wednesday morning, and another t-storm is raining (pouring) down on north-central NJ (I'm at work). The thunder is even rocking the building. Hopefully the dryer weather that the weather persons on the news have been talking about will come about and we'll have a few nice and dry summer days.

It's a very good (and pretty) head you have TM. Just take things as they come. And let your exertions on the court relieve some stress. And hopefully you'll get some relaxation in NH also.
Hmmmm...if you start your trip on a weekday, and near the lunch hour, feel free to make a sidetrip down Rt 78 a couple of miles for lunch

Hugs, C

I'm sorry sweetie my route will be taking me to Newport Rhode Island first and then I'll be heading over to NH. Otherwise I would have loved to come drop in on you....but then how would you explain who I am? Yikes...could get sticky!

thank you for this - it struck a chord

I do hope you feel better soon...can't imagine the frustration and are in my thoughts.

I did sense a feeling of exasperation in your recent posts.

You were living in the past, and still horny as well.

A sense of stagnation and regret over lost experiences.

All things in time, tennismaiden.

In time.

Thanks Cor, I'll try and keep the "safe" part in mind. But you know me...if I can live a little on the edge so much the better!
