Down Memory Lane

Schools are back in, it's the time that we hated when we were younger.
Now, we love it. The kids have gone to school and we can relax. If we don't need to go into work, we can go back to bed. We can have some quality time in peace and quiet.

But can you remember what you used to do when you were at school age?

Can you remember what you did when you got home from school?

Can you remember what sweets you used to like or hate?

Can you remember what you used to listen too on the radio, tapes, records and cd's?

And can you remember what you used to watch on tv?

In the UK, when I were a lad (still am at heart), we used to watch some of the following programmes on tv.

Chorlton and the Wheelies
Why Don't You?
Swap Shop
Rhubarb & Custard
Camblewick Green

and many more than I can remember.

Oh how times have changed. Sometimes, I wish I was back at school. But then again, no I don't.

Nowadays you see kids going to school with their iPods...I used to take my little transistor radio.

There will now be a long pause while everyone under 35 says, "What in the world is a transistor radio?" Still have one...a blue Panasonic in the shape of a ball, circa 1970. Perhaps I'll put it on eBay someday!
