..........They're back....................

Alright folks, my Grandad gave me that advice. Ya know the "No matter what you are doing....". So I would like to know...what kind of advice did your grandad give you. Or anyone for that matter, you know the type of advice that seems tongue in cheek but makes perfect sense if you apply it. I may save the good ones......so be careful...or not.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

The advice I remember is "This to shall pass..."

Welcome Back. Where'd you go? Why? (Just that curious nature you know...)

I too was taught, "This too shall pass"...and it has certainly come in handy.

But one of my favorites that my dad used to tell us:

"How come there's never enough time to do something right, but always enough time to go back and do it again??"

Profound....huh? LOL

And of course...the old standby...

"Hold out two hands, "want" in one, "shit" in the other...see which one fills up first."...(giggle)

I make mistakes, I am out of control & at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best. ~Marilyn

Thanks for visiting my blog. My grandad used to say...."You can do anything you put your heart into. And don't let any idiot tell you otherwise!" Sometimes I forget this....so thanks for reminding me!

Not from grandad, but an older friend. When he was young he was told this by his grandad. Work hard for your pay, spend some of it and save some of it. If you spend it all you won't be happy and if you save it all you won't be happy. It's worked well for me.

Hmmmmmm.. lemme think, My beautiful Grandmother used to say: "Put moth balls with your Tulip bulbs and the squirrels won't eat them" LOL! I dunno.. she was an avid gardener! I'm sure there is something DEEP there tho..
