Chinese Sailor

Fragments of dreams remain from last night.

In one dream, I was in a boat with a Chinese sailor and one other person (who remains a mystery).

The Chinese sailor wanted me to steer the boat, which was exciting. But instead of a big ship's steering wheel, he gave me a rectangular mirror that had been broken and taped together. He instructed me to set the mirror on the floor of the boat and turn it 20 degrees at a time. It was a little awkward, because the mirror was wobbly due to the break.

Seeing how awkward it was, he led me to a door and opened it. Inside was some kind of sci-fi looking compass.

The Chinese sailor pointed to the compass. "See," he said. "You have been drifting in the same direction for one month."

I think it's time for a change - any kind of change. Maybe replace all the underware in your drawer.

drifting may become direction, no?

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

I agree with MzHuny....Check your self out and see if the direction you're genrally going in is generally sorta going in the general sorta direction you wanta to go in generally, fix your course, and turn on the afterburners. (You do have after burners, don't you?)

    Quoting rm_silkditty:
    yup, you right

I've been purging my apartment, digging in closets and cupboards, taking things to Goodwill, cleaning, shampooed my carpet (which meant moving my furniture), doing a lot of deep interior subconscious work while I'm doing this

I shake my head, though, over why I keep repeating the same mistakes

looking for the next thing to capture my passion
It's hard to learn from our mistakes. Even harder to fiure out why we keep making the same ones. In other words, I feel ya sista.

When you need a reality check, come down and visit. I got a spare room.

Now taking nominations for a feelthy cranium and/or an early Halloween …

I'm terrible at interpreting dreams. But hey! The Chinese sailor dude is the one who told you to turn the broken mirror twenty degrees at a time, right? My suggestion: Next time, tell him to stop being so cryptic, and demand the big steering wheel. Meanwhile, he's got you turning a busted mirror twenty degrees at a time, while he's really steering the boat with the big steering wheel. The third person, who remains a mystery, is probably just there to take notes. Could be a reporter. If he asks any questions, it's always best to say, "No comment."

Was I close?
