Outlast the Storm

I often wondered as a child how I might fair as I got older. Would I be rich? a hero? respected? befriended? or maybe I would be tired, bitter, lonely, weak. I was never afraid of the future as a child because I was too ignorant to understand what posibilities it could hold.
I like the line in Shawshank Redemption "I never imagined the storm could last this long"
So what if the storm lasts for the rest of your life? What happens when you can't fight the lies and accusations, the cynics, the cheaters and the thieves, the power hungery and the mean people any more?
The spot on Jupiter is a storm that has lasted all of history. How can one fight fate?
Which brings us to probably the best line in Shashank ....
"Get on with livin' or get on with dyin'"
Hope this finds you well

When the storm doesn't show signs of stopping, you wrap yourself in your raincoat, make sure your boots are watertight, and get moving. Sooner or later you'll find a break in the cloud cover or a warm and dry place to shelter in.

Remember, Andy Dufresne crawled through a river of shit and came out clean at the other end. All it took was time, a hammer, and a big goddamned poster. You gotta use something else, but I know you can do it.

Hugs and kisses,

The last quote is exactly on the mark; get on with the living of your own life. You can get out of the way of these other people without too many problems; you can figure your own lifestyle and mould your own plans and desires to avoid them and reap only that which is of interest and use to you and your's. Of course, there are still going to be other mean spirited (etc etc) people out there, that cannot be avoided; but you can model everything so that they remain right on the outskirts of your existence and have no great meaning.

Life is a game of survival right up to the last moment. Push that moment further away and do more than just survive!
