Hey everyone! I've been away pretty much all of the past three days. My man has been here and we've found lots to keep ourselves occupied. That is, when my son heads out the door to go play.
We spent yesterday at a township park for a pig roast. Lots of good food, good music and good people. Ross played his harmonica with one of the bluegrass bands for half their set. He's really good, especially considering that he is self-taught. He was formally educated in trumpet playing during high school and has taught himself to play the sax, keyboards, harmonica, and drums. He told me that he couldn't play the guitar but he was picking around on my son's this morning and it sounded pretty good.
During most of the day at the park, my right calf had been feeling achy. I thought maybe I had bumped it but as the day went on it got worse. By the time we got home last night, I knew what I had feared, that I had another case of cellulitis. I have battled this skin infection in my leg off and on for the past seven years. It can be brought on by the smallest of reasons. This time I figure was from a couple of small nicks I got while shaving my legs on Tuesday. I had my yearly gyn exam that afternoon and when my doc saw them, she warned me about the cellulitis and suggested that I either buy an electric shaver or stop shaving my legs completely.
So, anyhow, we get home and I'm feeling really hot yet chilled, so I get my son and niece into bed and laid down myself. I was snuggled under three blankets and still shivering, so I decided I should go to Urgent Care. I called my mom to come take me and Ross stayed with the kids. He was such a sweetie. By the time my mom got here, my leg was hurting really bad, so he helped me walk to her van and get up into it. Then he stayed awake until I got home an hour later and got me back to bed, propping my leg on all the loveseat cushions cause the doc wanted my leg elevated. They had given me an antibiotic IV and a prescription that I had to go get this morning.
While I was gone to the drug store, Ross made french toast for us. And he kept fixing the pillows and cushions I’ve had under my leg all day. He even decided to stay an extra night just so he could make sure I was comfortable. Well, I think he has an ulterior motive too. I definitely didn’t have lovins on my mind last night but I’m feeling so much better now that the antibiotics have started working. I’ve been teasing him all day. Bad Debbie. He’s in the shower right now, so I have to get this finished and posted and be laying all seductive like in the bed when he comes in.
I wanted to let you all know that I’ve been trying to at least read everyone’s blogs today. I just didn’t have time to comment, though there were some I’ll have to come back to in the next few days and respond to. I haven’t forgotten ya, just life‘s been busy.

If you are nominated for a Busty Award from [blog bustybetsyboop], make sure to visit my post I May Have To Play Joan and let me know what you’re wearing. The countdown is on and Cozy_Red and I will be working the red carpet, dishing and gossiping and spreading all kinds of rumors and innuendos. J).

On a more somber note, many in Blogland are observing a day of silence tomorrow in honor of the victims of the 9/11 attacks. I honor their commitment to this, as I know it is coming from their hearts. I will not be joining in this silence, as I feel that we need to get on with the life of the living. To proceed with our lives in the way we do each and every day. I will memorialize those victims in my own way, as I’m sure many others will be doing also. Peace and well-being to any and all affected by that tragedy.

That's why I'm honoring those who have served our country in my blog...instead of remaining quiet.
