Football and Musicians

High school football rocks!!!
Last night was our season opener and we won!!!!
GO BLUE!! GO WHITE!! GO BLAZERS!! LET'S FIGHT!!

(My back-to-school Bash was rescheduled to this Thursday because the weather was so bad yesterday, but the game went on as scheduled.)
My nephew is a running back and ran for 50 yards in one play! We scored two touchdowns in the first half and held the Bucks to ZERO for the duration of the game.
But one of our players got hit just under his chin protector and went down. He lay on the ground for 20 minutes while medical staff tried to figure out what was going on. The EMTs finally carried him off and took him to the hospital. It was announced at the end of the game that he was suffering from temporary paralysis. The doctors prognosis was good.
That's very scary for those of us who have loved ones who play football, really in any contact sport. My nephew has been playing since 6th grade, he truly loves the sport....he's quite a track star also. But this shook him up too. Hopefully, this kid will fully recover and be able to join his team for the rest of the season.

~~~~Positive thoughts and prayers for #33 and his family.~~~~
After the game, with my son going home with his cousins, I headed to a local bar to hear my musician friend play. He had a friend I hadn't met previously playing guitar with him and holy crap! these guys sounded great! My friend was playing his harmonica last night. He also plays the trumpet , sax, drums and keyboards. The talent was just oozing from these cats last night. I got so damn horny watching him play. LOL, never thought of myself as a groupie before but I guess that's what I am now.
When the guys finished playing and came back to the table, I couldn't wait to get my hands on R. Needless to say, we didn't stay much longer before heading to his place where he gave my own personal trumpet playing lesson.
Hope everyone else had a good Friday night!
Us musicians seem to have that effect only on the most incredible women. He must be a great guy if he plays the sax. I play alto, tenor and soprano, guitar, some keyboards, starting to work on violin. Music is the soul trying to get out. That must be why I'm so lumpy. Good post. Saxman.
I am a huge music fan, got some playing around me at all times. Funny, I've never been involved with a musician before and it seems that most of the e-mails I get on this site are from musicians. And, yes, he is a great guy. Thanks for stopping by and the compliment.
Thank you Ely. He is doing well now but still in the hospital for observation.
And, yes, I am having the time of my life!
Sounds like you had a great time.
So what tune did you learn on the trumpet?
I did nothing which is not surprising - mainly blogged, commented, etc.
Absolutely--thoughts and good wishes for #33.
Friday night lights. There's nothing more electrifying than the atmosphere before a High-School football game. A sense of renewal and high hopes abound..it's a rush about as real as one can get..while being fully clothed.
"AYE-AYE!"
Wasn't much, but it's a start. (thanks!)
I learned this little song called "Baby, Cum to Me" by James Ingram and Patti Austin.
I can think of one other atmosphere, football related, that I use to LOVE....Ann Arbor on football Saturdays. The whole city just oozes football. I miss that! I'll just have to keep getting my fixes from the high school team.
He also plays the sax and you know how they have to suck on their reeds before they play.
Hi..Yup..I also like football..GO PATS!!!! and I have season tickets to McNeese University games....what is it about performers on stage or eldewhere that drive women horny???? When I was in broadcasting..I would go to a bar after the TV show to have a drink...and the women just seemed to gravitate towards me...some went so far as to start caressing me through my pants while I sat a booth...one night..this "lady" actually slid under the table and gave me a blowjob!!!! incredible!!! anyway can't wait to find a willing partner to use the "trumpet technique" on....not a bad weekend..could have been a lot better..maybe next weekend..have a great day,Kritter
I'm not sure what it is, Clint. Perhaps we think we'll achieve the same level of fame as our conquest or maybe it's just so we can name drop. I know that he does turn me on, hell, just the thought of him does that. But seeing him up on the stage...damn...sets me to twitterin' and drippin'. Maybe 'cause I know just what he can do with those lips. You have a great night, Clint.
    Haven't been to a football game in ages, but your post reminded me of the fun and excitement of watching the game. There's nothing like watching a football game live - TV doesn't come close.
    Of course, the rest of your weekend also seems to have been fun - I notice we didn't get details of all the touch-downs!
Another time, ineedit, another time.....
