Tarot Cards

I have a lady friend who has been dabbling in this for several months now and only recently got to see her actually use these things. It amazed me on how she was able to "read" the cards as she dealt them. To me it just seemed crazy that so many people actually use these cards to run their lives. Some people, I realize, actually won't begin a day without first consulting their cards and preparing to tackle their day if they don't come out like they had hoped. Now I'm going to post a poll to see how some of you feel about these tarot cards. To me personally I don't believe in them because it just goes against what I believe in religious wise and I know some of you all out there will disagree with me, but I don't care this is my opinion and you have yours....lol.

As someone who's read tarot cards for over 15 years, I have to say I've got an intricate understanding of them. I think they are one of the most misunderstood tools ever devised. They are exactly that...a TOOL. They have no power unto themselves. The diviner uses them to focus on the energy of the person they are reading for. The reader has no power over you or your life. The cards have no power. It's all the person getting the reading done. A tarot reading is like holding a mirror up to your life. Most people dont'understand that.

I got into the I Ching, and now I prefer that just for clarity and sense of humour. After reading for so many years, I've found that any time I want a reading for myself, if I just focus really hard, i already know what they would tell me without having to do the reading.

Just my experience.

Thanks for the input. I always thought they were that but like I said some people try to do more with them then they should.
