HIgh, Dry, and Stranded

Water, water everywhere. My house is high and dry, although not totally escaping storm damage. Our twenty year waranted roof is leaking everywhere. I consider this a minor inconvenience. I try to keep things in perspective. I have a home and ameneties, and electricity. Thousands are staying in shelters....waiting. Thousands have the daunting task of cleanup. I can put up with a leaky roof and intermittent cell phone service. I do have a wired line.

My daughter's two jobs are both in the evacuated area, so she's home for a few days. My husband and older son were finally able to get out today. Up until yesterday afternoon, there was not a passable route, from here into town. This pic, is a road I usually travel, into town. Dosen't look like I'll be using it anytime soon. Also the road to the park where I often romp with my lover, has been washed away. I'ts the only way in!!!
I want to thank all of my friends for their concern. I'm fine....just more restricted than ever. Hope to see you all in print...soon, I hope!

That's quite a photo of the road being washed out; I'm glad to know y'all are OK and that your house is still there.

Happy anniversary and happy 4th!
