Ode to Andrea Yates.

Well, well, well; she got off.

Chalk up another win for the American Judicial System, for common sense, and for humanity in general.

Let's start with you, Mr. Judicial.

A woman drowns drowns her 5 children.

One by one by one.

And they declare her insane, which is a distinct possibility. After all, which one of us would do something like that, and how far off the deep end would you have to be to do something like that?

But, here's the problem I have with the whole thing.

If you have a shred of thought left in you, you should have the understanding that killing anyone is wrong, under only one set of circumstances: self-defense.

So the whole idea of killing her kids to save them from hell, seems like an idea that I wouldn't want to carry out. That's the point where I'm looking for some help, calling a shirnk, a witch doctor, something; but the kids are still alive.

Get the point. She knows the difference between right and wrong. Therefore, she should be punished as such.

Why didn't they declare Ted Bundy insane? Would Hitler have been declared insane?

It goes to show, the standards have become pretty low, and the judicial needs to step up and not tolerate excuses. Start sending these people to death, get rid of them, now! No more 20 years of appeals, find every strand of evidence, and prove that the individual is guilty. Make sure every base is covered, that way the probability of a screw up will be minimal at worst.

The fact the first jury came up with murder, then the defense cobbled a jury together that would give her insanity (and it is how jury selection works folks), beautiful.

Now, the husband.

Wonderful man, and so forgiving.

Takes a strong person to forgive his wife for killing all five of his kids.

Personaly, I'd be there, shotgun in hand, waiting for her ass.

And there were no clues in front of you that gave you a notion your wife wasn't quite right that day? That week?

I feel empathy for you that your kids are dead, but you should be counted negligent as a father, and held partially responsible for those kids deaths.

Sad thing is you'll just go make new ones.

I wasn't writing that to challenge anything you say but to add to your point actually, and to put it out there that there are a surge of people doing crazy thing and saying the same thing. Has everyone gone crazy after 2000?

A piece of information: men and women, at every level of society, are equally capable of committing violent acts at any level of severity.

But, the difference is how the society reacts.

A woman claims voices made her do it, and she gets away with it while making excuses.

A man makes the same claim, he goes to the gas chamber.

So don't give me the whole "I'm a woman" sob story. It's just another excuse for bad behavior made by people looking to shuck responsibility for their own poor decisions.

I keep saying everyone has an excuse to get away, versus the willingness to face up to the problem.

So, I know this may be a hard concept to understand, but anytime someone is in a bad situation, and they make excuse after excuse for themselves, let them know, and don't let them get away with it.

but as you can see if you back track how many women where killing their children and saying they voices in their head telling them to do it.
there were two more stories after that one.

it's called excuses. everyone has one. and if we actually pay attention to excuses, then no one is responsible for anything, and can blame everyone but themselves.

Here's the thing, what are your thoughts on those points & issues?

I need to hear that. It helps figure out if you support, or oppose any of it, since I cannot see you in person to determine your reaction.

I'm good at reading peopple.
Thanks for saying hello though.
