Money can't buy happiness... but it sure help you rent it.

I know this is a superfluous request, 'cause you'll get there as soon as you can, but come by and help me celebrate my 100th post....

I guess your talking about that funny piece of paper with some face, and # on the four courners. yes I have, and more at times, but found its not the cash that buys the smile, it having true friends that last a mile.
True wealth comes from the heart and not from the pockets.

When I got busted, the narks found $10,000 in my house. I wasn't home then. They tore apart the whole place looking. I mean WRECKED it!
But in a cast-iron pan hanging on the wall, they missed another $17,000. It was the ONLY thing in the whole house that wasn't on the floor. They probably swung the pan aside to see if there was a hole behind it, and just let it swing back.
So...at least $27,000, but I think I had even more at times.
Right now, I've got a 1934 $500 and $1000 bill that I keep as collectables hoping the value goes up.

Hi Mz. Huny,
I totally agree with you. That was my entire purpose for joining AdultFriendFinder. Through the summer, I work tremendous hours and rarely get a chance to talk to anyone besides customers before 11PM. Here, I've found many friends with similar tastes and many new perspectives on relationships and life in general. I've recently found a lot of fun in the blogs as well. Some are hialious, some will really make you think. Whichever, they are usually interesting. Blog on, my Queen. Always great to read you.
I had a little over $10,000 cash in 1997 when 8 of my contracts all came in together. Very satisfying feeling.

The most $$$ I've ever held in my hand at any one time was 10 grand.

Money certainly doesn't buy happiness but it helps? LOL j/k

So many men on here try to flaunt their $$$ and material possessions in hopes of attracting a woman and, in my opinion, that's very sad.

Who would want to be wanted for their Money?

There are precious things and times in life that no amount of money could ever give more pleasure or happiness!
The most I ever held in my hand was $75,000 for about 10 minutes....very, very carefully as I walked across the street from the lawyers office to deposit it in the bank. Mind you, 2 days later it was gone again as I used it as a down payment on another house

As Tina Turner said" what's love got to do with it?".

Aint love grand?

Not the one to answer that.

Have yall ever held a grand in your hand?I aint..

Yep, once or twice. I think everyone should have the opportunity to handle a wad of cash once in a while, somehow you don't get the same feeling from plastic .

whats the most money you ever held in your hand at once?

I took $5K on a trip once to pick up equipment for my hobby, made me nervous about getting mugged . Ever notice how people who try to look like they're not carrying a lot of money end up looking exactly like they're carrying a lot of money?

I have held $4000 in my hands once. Payment for my first car + 2 year warranty. (Still driving it 7 years later. First real batch of trouble with it was around Xmas this year). It felt great... especially as it was mostly 20's due to the bank being short on larger bills that day. When I handed it over, the money took up so much space on his desk the pile he was counting fell over and he had to start again.

Love is grand, when it's, "for real"!

I've got responsibilities to finish up with before I get out more! I take my primary job, "mom" pretty seriously. Her dad spends about a month with her, once a yr. so I do my thing! My time will come!

At one point in time I held more than $24,000 in my hand, but put it in the bank! It was from the sale of my first home!

I'm pretty happy most of the time and talk with my friends regularly! My family quite often as well! I enjoy my patients everyday I work!

I don't recall having had more than a few hundred American dollars cash at a time. I once had about $5000 in travelers checks (from cashing my father's final paycheck, which included lots of unused vacation and sick leave). The biggest check I've gotten was from selling house #3. Part of that went to pay off the equity loan that I'd used as downpayment on house #4, and the rest went into improvements on house #4 (mainly the barn, actually), paying off a car loan, and buying a tractor with a front end loader and bush hog.

"Life's what you make of it. You can either make it chicken shit or chicken salad."

are you talking cash or a check??? I work at a non-profit agency which recieves donations, and I had a donor hand me a 150,000 check. That was kinda mind-numbing.

My own cash, I think I had 3,000 once, but I quickly turned it into travellers checks for a vacation. I've been mugged before and would rather not go through it again.

$6G in US dollars for downpayment on my Jeep.

Made me feel like Soopah Pimp to walk around with that dough! Putting that much on the Jeep got me a better rate and kept me from ever being "upside-down" on the auto loan. Another good feeling!

Yes..life is what you make of it. But I have found that depression can be mind numbing and physically debilitating. When that happens..yes..you should reach out and get some help. I find that meditation.. and writing helps. But one of the most important things is eating properly..nurturing your body..to help it deal with stress. If you don't feel good physically..that will add to a negative attitude toward life.

I've held a check for close to $200,000 in my hand. But like Meerkittykat..it wasn't my money..it belonged to the agency I worked for. My own money..has never been more than $5,000 in hand at one time.

In cold, hard cash? One time, during an amazing hot streak in the poker clubs that went on for about 3 months I had built up about $4,000. That was pretty nice. Those streaks are great, but they don't last forever and don't come around very often. That cash is loooonnnng gone.

Your definetily right on with the happiness bit, it doesnt nessacarily have anything to do with love. Life is about experiences, we have a limited time to get as many as we can. Think of them as trading cards in the afterlife.LOL
Notes or drafts, Id rather not say.

In my hand at any one time? In cash? Probably $300-$400.

In Bonds I had about $10,000 in my hand at once, but I was using that to start my business.

I used to routinely handle $50K plus, counting it by hand before the place I worked bought a bill counter. At first it was heartbreaking, handling so much without any of it sticking to my fingers... but eventually, it became just so much crinkly paper...

True love is worth all the money in the world.
I held $252,000 in my hands once, cash money. My former boss was purchasing a new business and had borrowed from many, many relatives and friends, all cash. I actually had to drive 25 miles with that cash! I was scared shitless that something was going to happen. I did suggest to my boss, who was a former b/f that we make a quick trip to my house, spread it all over the bed and fuck on it. But he said no, can ya even imagine?

Usually I very rarely have more than £50 ($80) cash.

MzHuny,

Yes, life is grand and yes, I have held a grand before. No comment on how much I have held. With my traveling and such I always carry a couple of grand with me. It's always been a thing with me. If I don't, I feel naked. If money bought happiness I would know some of the happiest people in the whole world, but they aren't. It's just a medium of exchange. money means nothing to me at this point in my life. I have had it, lost it, had it again and now feel like taking it as it goes. We aren't going to be here forever so whatever time I have left I am going to see that those around me that are less fortunate have a chance. You can't take it with you. If I had no money, I think it would be a shock but I could survive.

Love,

Yeah when things were good,2 grand or more of uncashed paychecks and cash, was content but not all that happy. Could buy what I wanted but friends to me were more important. I frequently did things for others whom had less which was far better than having money and nothing to do with it.
