Long hair...............

I was just reading about this in one of the groups -on what to do with long hair from a hair cut.

tI was too late for me, about a week too late,

But maybe this will be in time for one of you.
I just cut off 8 inches,
but my hair still comes down to the middle of my back...

If I had known about this I could have easily cut off 10 inches, which is their minimum...

locksoflove............org

Locksoflove is a non proffit organization.
Locksoflove make wigs for cancer victims.

1. We accept 10" minimum hair length (tip to tip), not wigs, falls, or synthetic hair
2. Please bundle hair in ponytail or braid.
3. Hair needs to be clean, dry, placed in a plastic bag, then padded envelope.
4. We need hair from men and women, young and old, all colors and races.
5. Hair may be colored or permed, but not bleached or chemically damaged (if unsure, ask your stylist).
6. Hair swept off the floor is not usable.
7. Hair cut years ago is usable if it has been stored in a ponytail or braid.
8. Hair that is short, gray, or unsuitable for children will be separated from the ponytails and sold at fair market value to offset the cost of manufacturing.
9. You may pull curly hair straight to measure the minimum 10".
10. The majority of all hair donated comes from children who wish to help other children.
11. Layered hair may be divided into multiple ponytails for donation.
12. Please note: Anyone can cut your hair as long as the above guidelines are followed.

Locks of Love has been around a while. My daughter just made her second donation of 12" of hair. Even if you don't have the minimum 10" requirement you can go ahead and send in the shorter hair as long as it's bound. They'll sell it to another wig making company and use the money to help their cause. I supposed in another 2 years she'll get her hair cut again and do the same.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

I've heard of this place, also. Such a neat idea. Though I will never be able to contribute! My days of growing hair seems to have ended a long time ago. Like Gallager said, "It's God's little joke he played on me. Now you have hair, now you don't."
LL, you took off eight inches and it's still in the middle of your back. That's some long hair. What color, if you would be so kind as to reveal to us?

unlistedone Since you asked so sweetly - it used to be exactly the color in that picture....... of the long blond braid. Now it is a bit lighter.........
Now it's quite nice really...
(at first I was not ready to accept the color changes and I know there are more to come.......yeah )
but I now prefer to call the color "silver among the gold" or similar to platinum...

Once, many years ago (thirty-four, if you want to be exact) my entire world was wrapped around a lady with exactly that length and color of hair. Very beautiful color LL. Don't worry about the changes. I have a feeling on you it will look fantastic.
