If you can't love the one your with?

Have you ever made love to someone but closed your eyes and imagined it was someone else?

If you have who was it you imagined?

Or do you think this would be no better than cheating on someone?

Some might call it cheating...some might just call it a fantasy, and harmless. I'm pretty sure I've seen both arguments in print, but I think most psychologists would lean on the side of harmless if not acted upon or fleeting (within certain parameters, I'm sure).

I've got absolutely nothing concrete to back those assertions up, by the way; but I'm sure if you search through a few back issues of Cosmoplitan it will weigh in somehow and determine how you should feel about it...LOL.

So, Lagano (or anyone!) do you think it's more common among men, or women?

Good question!
This is almost the "faking it" question.
How do you know if your partner is really thinking of you when she orgasm's LOL.

Sexist viewpoint I know, but I would tend to think guys do it more than women. I think women need to be more emotional attached to the one they are having sex with whereas I think guys can have sex with one and think of another without too much effort. But nothing is 100% here I could be wrong and am interested to hear all viewpoints.

As to harmless fantasies, well depends on WHO you are imagining, I think there is a difference between say fantasising its Angelina/Brad and fantasising its your secret lover.
