Ella's song

So if anyone is following the Ella debacle [post 287992];

I have now reposted my original comment as she requested and you can read it here [post 282737]

I don't have any sympathy for what she did to the guy, but I don't feel any anger at her personally, what's done is done and can't be undone.

I do hope though she is able to sort herself out and move on with her life.

So quoting from my current book of wisdom:

An old gypsy lady
In soft Spanish whispers
Took my hands in hers
And told me their secrets
"Your heart is a fire
And his love is an ember
You must forget
What you'll always remember"

Superstitious nonesense
Just a fairground attraction
I walked through the neons
In search of a distraction
But the tears in my eye
Knew the truth in my heart
She'd only confirmed
What I knew at the start

I think I really like this poem and I revisit it to make sure I have the correct meaning. I have always felt some affinity with gypsys in a way too and certainly with old ladys!
