Strange people

I've been a member of AdultFriendFinder for a while now, and I've chatted with quite a few people. And have noticed that some women will post in chat rooms along with their profiles, stating that they are only interested in chatting or getting to know other women. But yet alot of men for some reason will still antagonize these women. And strangely enough, some men do this to other men as well who are straight. I'm cool with talking to guys who aren't on the same path as me, but occasionally I might get that e-mail and I'm like "Dude, I don't swing that way." People really need to read others profiles before provoking them. It's a little rude and I'm sure some people don't appreciate it. Particularly the women who get countless guys bothering them, when they don't even want a guy to begin with. It is disappointing finding out that the beautiful lady is not into guys, but that should be completely respected and left alone. Wouldn't you agree?

One thing you should consider is that, especially for men that are standard members, they can't see the profiles... So they have no way of knowing.

Another thing to consider is that there are plenty of fake profiles out there, and profiles that state a particular preference, but it isn't a deal-breaker.

For example, I have an age range stated on mine, but it is really about the maturity level and compatibility, so there's some wiggle room there. On the other hand, I am not interested in men, and would not ever entertain contact with men in that context. So in one case, a hard limit, and in another, a soft limit.

That's not an excuse to be rude... but it might explain things.
