Blissfull Simplicity

There are things I can't stand.
There are things I can tollerate.
There are things I can appreciate.
And then there are things that I can honestly say that I enjoy, and makes me feel fully human. Things that I find enjoyment in, things that make me happy.

Music is one of those things. As long as I can feel it, I can enjoy it.
Music is my emotional resonator, my link to something more like me.
Music, when I can feel it, and when it compliments my emotions, is the best thing in the world. If I had a choice between being deaf, or being blind, I'd pick BLIND instantly. If I couldn't listen to music, there'd be no point in going on, as far as those two options are concerned.
I've always said I was a musically driven person, but not in ways that you would think. I'm not driven to create music; I am driven by music.
Music can motivate me and reinforce or completely alter my emotional states
It's one of those few things besides cigarettes in that the longer I go without it the more irate I get. I can accomplish things almost mindlessly while listening to music. For example, if I try to clean house in total silence, I piss away the time and get a little done here and there, but not a great deal gets accomplished. If I have some headphones on with a mix that works I can get a TON of stuff done very quickly with the time that I have, and not even think about it. My brain shifts gears, my speed doubles (or tripples with coffee or Red Bull), and I just...GO. Every now and then I may stop for a second to think of what needs done, but once I know what my goals are, I don't stop, I go really fast and forcefully, and don't even mind or care about the effort I'm putting into it as long as I have that music going.
Yeah, I'm a freak. Don't get in my way when I'm cleaning with headphones on, 'cause I will run you over.
See, this is why I wish someone would come up with some sort of implant that can store music and send it straight into your brain, and the songs can be selected at whim with just a thought. Good gawd, I'd fucking mug 100 college students just to pay for it if someone actually created it. Seriously.

At any rate, I need to don a pair of headphones and crack out some work around here.
